In the 2nd period, a Detroit player made a blatant trip on Guentzel, but instead of a 5on3 PP, the referees called it embellishment. So I guess Kucherov decided that tripping is allowed in this game, who can blame him?

The cause of his frustration in that moment whether losing the game, retaliatory or due to being a psychopath is also irrelevant. Intent to injure is debatable in the sense that did he "want" to hurt Rasmussen? That's definitely speculative and imo unlikely. Saying he was frustrated just isn't. The origins of why he did what he did, however deep you want to dive into it, don't negate that. You're in here posting Pinkman memes having a little fun with it, no big deal but I wouldn't say you are being completely objective about Kucherov in this one. It was a dirty play and completely unrelated to preventing a goal. Bringing up players intentionally taking penalties in empty net situations is irrelevant in any context, as is the psychological assessment.

It was clearly interference and looked like it involved head contact so I can see why they're taking a look at it. Because Compher was ok though I doubt they'll do anything.

The DoPS prefers to wait until a player's brains get scrambled before doling out punishment.
