So this is evidence of me never saying that Skinner played poorly?
Very weak. There have been plenty of times that I posted that he was bad...needs to be better...etc.
I just dont follow the HF hivemind.
Never have.
My opinions are my own and if it rubs you and a few other hivemind members the wrong way...c'est la vie.

I also dont hate on a player forever like some on here. If a player is bad (like Nurse) I post about it.
If he is playing good (like Nurse has) I post about that too.

I think the major reason Ryan is still playing regularly is that he is over 60 % on the dot and top 3 in the league.
One thing I liked about Ryan last season is he's in a good position defensively most of the time, does not get caught, and usually clears the puck. He's a reliable player. But he's severely undersized and is much slower than he used to be. if he was 2 inches taller, he'd be another Iglesias.

Nah, on the whole Skinner was fine. Somethings are just post game reactions. Overall we have to be pretty pleased with how Skinner has looked the last several games. He's an odd one. When he's off hes not seeing pucks and he's getting beat standing still. When he's on he's being more than a block form goalie and suddenly he's making good glove and blocker saves. I'll be reasonable and credit him for being on.

Disagree with you on the puck getting behind goalie. You have to avoid that happening with 8 secs left. If its high over net let it go, or if you think danger of going in make sure you don't let puck drop in behind you. Its the thing with a goalie like Adin Hill, same size, is he would have dealt with that one better.
Agree with most of your post except for that last part. That's a reactionary save because Podkolzkin blew his assignment and left Hagel wide open to get all of that wrister. It was labelled top corner and Skinner got enough of it to send it 3 feet over the net. That lands behind the net if Paul doesn't knock it down with a high stick 8 feet in the air.

That said I agree. When Skinner is confident he's attacking pucks. When he's not he's just a fridge that gets beat by everything.
