No matter how hard they f*** with Jones he prevails
They sure do know how to f*** with him tho.
Guy is a plus 10 n pretty much the same amount of games played!
He is at .5 ppg with basically no pp time when there is no doubt he should be running the 2nd pp unit.
I said a few years back that I am surprised no smart GM didn't try to pry him away from the Rangers for peanuts.
I don't need analytics to tell me that the guy can make quick passes of more that 10 feet.

Best game in awhile. Liked how they played in the 3rd. Schneider and Jones should be getting more shifts than Trouba and Lindgren (but minutes per game will be the same ;) ).

Quick can backup for years more.

Quick is literally the PERFECT backup goalie right now(and has been for a couple years now). As long as he is rested he is playing lights out.

Sign him up for another year. Not like they are in any rush to get Garand to the NHL since they still have him splitting games in HFD.

Funny how late bloomers tend to also have late peaks.

Thinking of Panarin, Zuccarello, and Martin St Louis specifically. It's like they're somehow developmentally 5 years behind their whole careers, which means they often play their best hockey untiltheir mid to late 30s.

I really liked a lot of things we did in this game. It's not that the Kraken didn't get some excellent chances but the Rangers defending was much better than it has been and there were very few mental breakdowns or egregious turnover/giveaways.

We played physical without taking penalties and after we got the lead we really didn't give them much. Quick was outstanding though and has been and maybe we should be playing him more. One of the things is we still haven't had any back to back games and I think that's played into why Quick hasn't got that many yet.

I really liked Cuylle. f***ing 10 hits and an assist. Brodzinski isn't quite as good as Chytil but he's still a pretty good player and between Will and Kaapo they all played pretty well. I thought Mika looked a bit sharper too. Jones and Schneider +2's with bottom pair ice time. Schneider is a +12 and Jones a +10 in 11 games. Whether you like +/- or not that pair like the Chytil (Brodzinski line now) line isn't bleeding many goals. And in a game like that having a guy like Panarin who can make a play playing with a guy like Lafreniere who can finish a play can be all the difference.

Another snoozer but at least they played a little better. 1st period actually had some pace.

Still hate that they couldn’t score an ENG with over 3 minutes. I guess that’s what happens when you have the terror twins out to close out every game for some reason

Seattle was pretty fast, and fast teams give us fits. They don't have the high end difference makers, as Hank said in the studio, to be truly dangerous. Quick still needed to be stellar. This team needs to play at a higher pace, which they did for the most part. They dipped in the 2nd and Seattle was running circles until Panarin made that brilliant pass to Laf. They won the 3rd from a combination of locking things down and Seattle wearing out on the second of back to backs.

Why don't the Rangers ever get these excuses from our board but our opponents do?

It's tough-parenting, like we're always tougher on our own children than their friends. Danny next door didn't get home by 9? Oh, that's not good. Matthew, you're better than staying out after 9, you're grounded for a month.

Also, we were really good last year on back to backs. And we haven't had one so far this season.
