Playing as a 2C and actually being one isn’t the same thing. But yes I agree his contract isn’t an issue to me.

There’s some mean reversion going on here. He’s not as productive as he is now, but not as unproductive as he was to start the season. They’ll take something in the 40s with plus physicality and defense.

There's a big difference between being a 'passable' 2C when playing with Necas/Svechnikov/Teravainen on your wings and being a bonafide 2C who a team might build around.
