No doubt, but 6 to 10 goals from a bottom-6 forward who also brings grit and toughness, that's plenty

Hard not to believe in Kostin. Hes big, protects his team and hits. That alone will get him NHL time.

But then add a wicked shot on top of that and some skill.

Why wouldn't it last? Blues totally blew this, just like Nashville did with Tolvanen. Everything Kostin is doing is what he's been doing his career and is in his scouting report. he has a good shot and quick release. no dusting off. he scored beauty goals in STL too. Just never got much time for more.

Like Petr Klima famously said; "You need a pretty long stick to score from the bench"

Kostin got really limited games in STL and bit minutes and still scored what one would expect. They just never gave him a realistic chance.
