Great game, we dominated from start to finish. Desharnais had an amazing debut, I really hope we have something there, he’s a monster.

Good to see Desharnais getting some extra time and the guys doing everything they can for the Reaper to hit a hat trick. Not getting too excited, this was against a team that has clearly checked out and are playing out the string here (in January... dang, I remember those dark dark days for us).

Another 'should win' game against a marginally better Sharks team, and then back to back against the Knights.. ugh. At least bank the points against the Sharks, guys.

I don't think so. He'll have a long career as a coach you bring in when you're considering a rebuild and need some high picks, and for all your best players to underperform

I don't want to pile on, but the Ducks are one of the worst teams I've ever seen in the NHL. I know they beat us last time out, but the Oilers are a middle of the pack team and they put up 50 shots on them like it's nothing. They just look awful.

Mentioned it earlier, but ducks are in a pack of 5 teams this bad. It's unreal.

Few gripes.

1) Holloway has a nice start and scores a goal. Games like 5-1. Woodcroft decides to go with McDrai? I just don’t understand honestly.

2) NHL reffing is a f*cking joke. Its so bad.

Nice game, good feels..

Anybody wanna credit Holland for getting BOTH Kostin and Janmark on the cheap and them being 2 parts of our best line in last several games? Not Hollands fault the coach went away from a line that was working very well and just went back to it.

Desharnais with a very effective rush stopping game. Controls so much ice with his wingspan and strong on his skates. This guy could be some appreciable help.

Wish he had more speed so he could skate with Mcdavid, but Kostin looks like a solid middle-six player for the Oilers going forward.

So one thing to say, everyone looks so much better when ice time is divided among other players. Nobody looked bad and it had nothing to do with anaheim being bad. The same mistakes from previous games were gone. Maybe Holland/Woodcroft saw the heat coming and played it smart. When hungry players like kostin, holloway, desharnais, etc are given time, they try to prove themselves. we need hungry people to have more time on the ice.
