We're also now up to ~75M in cap expenditures with 10F, 6D, and 2G signed, not including DeBrincat or Pinto. So there's no longer the option of keeping DeBrincat.

Ok goaltending spot filled…. Next. Goalies are crap shoots for the most part, hope this guy can stabilize the position with Forsberg.

Haven't seen him play much so I’ll take a wait and see approach. Just him being able to play in games would be a nice upgrade on the last two guys.

HFSens exploding with joy.

Nothing like getting traded and then seeing your new fan base with such welcoming tweets.

Joonas must be happy.

You guys are acting like he's a bum.
He can't possibly be worse than Murray, or Talbot. We need some stability in net, and this should provide it.
Has this Korpisalo ever provided "stability" to an NHL team before?

He had a good season for.....the LA Kings? The team that has played defence first hockey for over a decade?

Thats it, fire Dorion. Im officially done sitting on the fence.

To wake up to this is just absolutely infuriating.

Ill put my prediction out the that this is going to end horribly and they will be wondering wtf to do about it by year 2.

God f***ing damnit.

Contract will be an anchor in 2 years. Maybe 1.

im very.. VERY concerned about the term on a goalie who has a very up and down career arc so far. I get you gotta take risks but it is more than a little sketchy to look at.

We all know Dorion has a keen eye for goaltending. Surely this will end well

Hopefully it works out but another huge risky move by the guy with an awful track record at them. This could be the nail in the coffin for the rebuild if this turns into another disaster contract

Leave it to Dorion to get a good core and step on every rake he can find. Will he miss that last one? Let's hope so and find out.

Thing is I've seen Kings fans complain about their team's current state of defense, so using their Cup teams as an example isn't very accurate.

Yeah hopefully these guys stay away from the unwashed masses on social media as a rule.

It‘a a pretty gross place in general.

Sens fans have become so negative, im stoked for korpisalo as I think he can be good in ottawa. Yes the contract is long but at 4 mil I believe it can look like a good deal.

I honestly think people are overreacting. The contract isn't good, all of us agree on that.

Let's put the contract aside... We have a lot of money available and we can fit him in the lineup. He's a guy that I wanted when looking at available goalies on the market. Probably other guys (Varlamov, Andersen, Raanta) didn't want to sign here and they re-upped with their current teams.

The way I see it... I would rather spend money only and grab a goalie who's good enough than to spend a ton in assets to grab a Hart or a Swayman/Ullmark and then have to pay them a premium on top of it.

This is not the most desirable place to be so getting a guy who can at least give you NHL quality goaltending is a good thing.
