That's a bit ingenuous as he's only hit PPG once in his career, and his career high is 33 goals. He's a nice player but he's basically a lower tier 1RW, solid 2RW

He was also 15 points up on 2nd place on his team last year. 7 points up on 2nd place in 21 fewer games the year before.

He has 1 year left on his deal. We've already seen what pending UFA wingers get with or without an extension.

Either resign him to his 9M+ until he's in his mid 30s or trade him for the usual winger in his late 20s w/ a year left on his contract return.

Agree. He'll sign at a decent price. But I don't think he's getting $10M AAV from anyone.

That was a ridiculous steal by Regier, and I would be pissed to see the Sabres put themselves on the NYI side of that trade.

The 1st was a 20+ pick, the 2nd was 50+ and Moulson was for salary.

A 20 something pick and 50 something pick does not get you to 11OA.

His price is a playoff protected 25 1st+prospect + contract/salary.you raise it to top 10 protected the prospect is lowered
