Which means you can replace him with another players, correct? Isn't this the same kind of thing we’re doing with Regula?
Im guessing this has to be the same kind of situation as Regula and Klingberg won’t count for a roster spot or against the cap until we activate him. Has to be that because we haven’t waived anyone so with Klingberg included we would have an illegal roster and be over the cap.

Katz was a friend to all the 1980s Oiler teams. I dont dispute that. They were all young and rich, living in Edmonton. Gee, I guess that’s a crime that DK made friends outside of his work place.

The issue is the lumping in of a player who was outside of the organization for 30+ years, while it meandered its way through constant futility and suggesting he was part of the OBC that led this journey. It’s so far from factual that it’s farcical.
Well...its obviously not a crime that Katz was buddies with the boys on the bus. Its also not a crime that Katz as a new owner of the team was involved in hockey operations aka the red wine summit.
An example of that...Katz was the primary driver to use the 2012 #1 overall pick on Nail Yakupov. Even though it was reported that Mangement didnt view Nail as a worthwhile pick the team picked Nail anyway. That is an example of the type of meddling owners do when they dont have the sense to let hockey peole run hockey operations.
Its just a very poor way to run a hockey team and it played a major role in this team being mired in the decade of darkness.
Thankfully Katz eventually saw the light and started hiring some good hockey people and actually let them run hockey operations.

He should fit well in with Janmark, Ekholm and Arviddson off the ice. Interested to see what he looks like on the ice.
Isn't he a Finn, like Kapanen?

P.S. Never mind. he's Swedish.

It will be interesting to see who we pair him with. I would assume Nurse but maybe we try Bouch with Nurse and play Ekholm with Klingberg?
I guess depends on where he slots. If he's on the third pairing, it obviously won't be with one of the top guys. But maybe Kulak goes back to the third pairing.

I think it would be good to put Klingberg on the Mattias Ekholm career rehabilitation program. It worked wonders for Bouch

Nurse - Bouchard will be Oilers for a long time and it would be good to see them build chemistry
I guess Ekholm or Nurse if he's in the top 4. His skillset kind of replicates Bouchard's, so it's not likely they will be together. Would be nice if he could contribute at least at the level of Ceci last year.

They’ve kind of opened the door with mixing and matching with Kulak getting bumps here and there as well as Ekholm/Emberson getting looks late in games and on the PK. I wonder if there’s an appetite for putting Nurse-Bouchard in more offensive situations but not necessarily full time.

This would give an option to have Klingberg play lesser minutes but still get minutes with Ekholm and then Kulak at times. I think Emberson come playoff time might be ready for a bigger workload (unless another quality d is added which I still my preference).
