So this is the team. We are going to give up chances like crazy and score like crazy and maybe Helly bails us out. Its going to be ride and it won't change until Maurice is gone

Fine I accept this crazy mission
A little scary when they have to play Comrie.

Didn't watch but good to get another win
Ehlers seems to be in another little drought but good to have KC and (surprisingly) PLD lighting it up

Dillon is a little bit of a hacker, and needs to keep his penalties down, or it will cost the Jets games. Sometimes his rough play is an advantage, especially if your playing really physical teams, but he's going to have to control those penalties. To me so far, he looks like an average defenseman, who plays with a lot of physicality. Hope Maurice talks to him about all these penalties.
I disagree. I love Dillons hyper aggressiveness. He's exactly what we've been missing since Buff left. Yes, he's going to take penalties, but I do believe his rugged play will reap rewards especially since he's a pretty smart guy who can move the puck, he isn't just a meathead

That was a fun game. It's great to see Vesailenen coming along! I was checking the team stats and the Jets have 6 ppg or more scorers so far. Who would've guessed it would be Connor, Dubois, Schmidt, Copp, Stastny and Pionk.

I wonder if too many players sit back and expect Mark and Blake to carry the mail offensively when they are playing, cuz we’re scoring at will with them out.

Or maybe we’re finally catching our stride offensively. Just imagine when Scheif, Wheels and The Dane start to get their points. With our awkward defensive system, it will look like the mid-80’s all over again.

Why would we trade a top 10 centre?
I might argue with you about top 10 but I genuinely agree this would be a rather silly idea to follow through on. Scheifele is on a steal of a contract for his performance and worth every penny, performing at a very high level. While I don't think Scheifele and Dubois are Crosby/Malkin it's very much a luxury to have if Dubois continues his current play going forward. I'll take that every day.

I welcome your well intentioned point of view here Jet. I will say this, that I sort of agree, and disagree with your post. I'd say if he can play the line on aggressive play like Buff did, I think he'll be an asset. Buff probably took an average of one penalty every 2 games.

From what I've seen from Dillon, and I believe he took 2 penalties tonight, and one or 2 in the last game, this will start costing us games. If the Preds were not offside on one play, his penalty could have changed the momentum, and then you never know.

I will say this, if he can "control" his aggressive play, and keep the penalties down, he'll be an asset, and if he doesn't he'll end up being more of a liability. I think Chevy recruited him to bring some physical play to the back end to replace Buff as you say, and I hope he can discipline his style of play a bit better, and keep the penalties down. You can still play very aggressive, and slam guys into the boards, and not take a bunch of senseless penalties. You have to control it.

they ended up scoring 9 seconds after the offside call anyways and it didn't change the momentum of the game

I don't think you grasped the point of my post ? Momentum can change quickly, especially in one goal games. Anybody with any kind of knowledge would agree that you don't win many hockey games playing short handed for a good part of the game.

well good thing he took the penalty when we were up by 3 then! maybe instead of talking about hypotheticals we should wait and see if it actually becomes a problem

Yes, we should wait and see if it's going to be a problem. I wasn't just referring to this game, but penalties in all games that are unneccessary. I do like controlled aggressive play, and I hope we get that from him.

Side question, didn't we have a sticky thread before where we could post tickets for sale? I got some tickets to sell and looking to see where is appropriate to post.
