I just want London to lose to be honest :D

It will be a travesty if the Soo doesn't get the 2027 Memorial Cup in my view. They essentially had it in 2021 before the season was cancelled and should have had it last year as well. They made a large number of expensive upgrades after being given some assurances after 2021. The biggest host snub in the OHL's history last year really sent negative shockwaves through the community

Northern Ontario has been consistently screwed by Branch and hasn't hosted a cup in over 30 years, despite being the heart and soul of the league. They have already said they will be bidding in 2027. Kitchener would undoubtedly be a great host and may have the best team, I was there in 2009, but there are some debts to be paid.

I look forward to good battles between the two teams either way. Both are loaded with 07 talent and look to be the best teams in that year.
Born and raised in the North. Know about getting snubbed all too well. The Soo and Sudbury are true fans that support their team well and N Bay is holding its own. If the Mem Cup ever goes north…count me in!

Does anyone know any other ways to get tickets for the Bulldogs game? Ticketmaster only has resale tickets now and they start at $60. I know it's a small arena but thought id as since they are close to us.
Have you tried calling the box office and picking them up at Will Call when you go?

Last night's game vs Germany has to open some eyes and you would think that one of the refs would be North American.

Hard to impress the "coach" of Team Canada when you get 2:32 to do so in the entire game. And goals are still an issue so why not put Rehkopf and Martone on a line and give it a whirl. Their combined points this season are quite impressive.

Also, PP1 looked much better when the London PP trio were put together. I know. Rocket science. George was stellar in net and should be to the go to against the USA. More tweaking of the forward lines is in order but that remains to be seen whether moves will be made.

Team Canada is using the insanity system. Doing the same thing over and over looking for a different result. Canada has only scored one goal five on five in the last two games. Basically look like a relegation team last night. One of goals was actually put in by the German goalie. Hopefully Cameron doesn't have to resort to putting White's Horse Liniment in their jocks to get them moving.

Just stepping in to say I love the Sault, their pizza is much better than ours, don't hate on our northern brothers, lol. Fischhaber's take was interesting even if it wasn't convincing. And that org has had some great teams over the past decade, I'm still personally mad about '14-'15, thanks McDavid...

Honestly I would be happy if SSM got the cup in 2027, would give me the excuse to get up there (and support the Rangers, of course. ;) ).

Happy holidays and fingers crossed for a sell-off!

Is Hlacar a scratch again? Is he going to get ice time in Cambridge or elsewhere? I suspect they're gonna bring him up for rough stuff, hope he gets enough ice/development time

Only 10 days left until we find out what will happen with the extra players. I like we are down to 7D with 2 Jr.B cards for call ups when needed. I’d be very happy to get down to 6D (Ando trade) and 2 call ups when needed (Xu and Schneider). Last year we went with 6D and MacNeil call up when needed and that worked out well. We still have way too many forwards but I’m sure come Jan 10 they will have spots on the team or find a home in Cambridge or elsewhere.

Rangers kept the game close then buried a few pucks in the last 10. Good road win.
Lots of changes in the line up recently.
Not a big fan of using lineup changes as an excuse. Everybody goes through it, whether it’s due to World Juniors, trades or injuries. That is why teams build systems…so the replacements have a good idea where to be and what to do.
This was a game we shouldn’t have needed a 120 second lapse by a cellar dweller to secure a win.
We seem to struggle to generate offence lately. Need to get that in gear to get some wins over better teams like Brantford and Erie.

Rangers didn't look exactly like they were firing on all cylinders in this game. Maybe they played down to the level of their opponent. Ķept the game close and still found a way to win in the end and make the trip a success. Jussi never came out for an interview after waiting for him. Guess he wasn't happy with the play of the team. The assistant coach came out.

The offence just wasn't off this game, but it goes back a few weeks. The team isn't a high volume shots on net team, so any downturn in offence is magnified even more. The powerplay has been stagnant but that's balanced off by their PK.
