Well they came out flying in the second, but you can't let in a goal every chance Erie has.

Team defense has been terrible in the second half of this game. Lots of turnovers, not skating to the puck, leaving players wide open. 3rd period was all Erie.

Sop for captain!

Another two points, but I don’t believe the coaches will be too happy with that game last night. The team in general made the game much more difficult than it needed to be. We were outshot, outplayed, and outworked. Maybe it was the midweek game, but it seems the boys believed their talent was gonna carry them through.

I agree that the fourth line is playing really well no changes required.

I don't think the coaches can be too happy with the overall play the past 6 games. The team has seemed to lose the energy they were playing with, although they show spurts of it at times. For example twice on the PP last night in the first period Brzustewicz lolligagged his way back to chase a loose puck. The one time the puck stayed in the "no handling zone" and the Erie player skated in front with it for a really good scoring chance.

Hopefully it's just a bit of a lull and they pick up the pace again. Right now they aren't playing with the passion they showed early.

The urgency on the powerplay is abysmal lately. It's painful watch their attempts to get into the zone. The silver lining so far is they find a way to win. Jussi still has a lot of trust in all the players. Rolling all 4 lines equally AND leading the league something to admire.

I don’t know if we have access to minutes played but I would think the first two lines IMO are averaging close to 20 minutes per game. That would leave approximately 10 minutes for each of the third and fourth lines.

I know in this league anyone can win on any given night but tomorrow should be over by the end of 2. Niagara has been icing 9-10 forwards (call ups) the last 5 games and 5 d with one of them being a forward.
Unless Vandenberg goes on a crazy revenge game.

I would say those players might be getting more TOI because of special teams, but I'm not sure Jussi has changed the "next up" approach. Even last Friday in key moments with last change and a offense zone faceoff, he would still throw out 4th line.

"Sorry Carson, we need you to lead the CHL AND be 19, better luck next year"
Jordan Dumais in the q was second to bedard last year for points in the chl with 140 and he didn’t make team Canada. They draft players based on roles a lot of times. I think rehkopf will make it maybe as a 3rd or 4th liner and then the team the following year be a big piece of it.

Reminds me of kingston last year. Was painful to watch. Mercy rule after 2 maybe lol

you gotta be kidding
No...you're not...what a pathetic owner and management.
Perhaps the best arena in the league and the fans put up with this crap!
Kids are going to get hurt or burn out. They are using an affiliate player who has 3 points in 21 games-JrB (used a u18 player last game). I wonder how many have asked out or might quit the team like Humphrey.

I'm not understanding why this can happen or even be allowed to happen. I know in recent seasons the Rangers have been a skater or two short of a full lineup periodically but never to this extent. This was unheard of years ago.

Darren DeDobbelaer. Kids are not signing and it’s Hard to get call ups if you’re not willing to offer them a contract as one game takes you out of the NCAA. Niagara is one of the most import markets and he’s destroying it.

Niagara has 15 skaters tonight.
Went to a watch the Rangers play in Guelph years ago. Storm sat out about 8 to 9 players for some discipline reasons. Rangers had a skilled squad and had a hell of a time getting a win. Some JR. B call ups even scored goals against the Rangers. Junior hockey can be a puzzle if players get ahead of themselves thinking of padding their stats. I think Niagara has some players called up. Not sure? Hopefully the Rangers can start to show some defensive discipline tonight. They will be challenged going forward as teams tighten up.

The saving grace is the absolute parity of this league. Rangers still goup 1 on the division. Crazy.
And they will continue to do so Kitchener is a wicked team. I am from Niagara but I love going to Rangers games I’ve been to four and it’s the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. Since my team doesn’t make it to the playoffs anymore lol that’s my new gig. See you in the playoffs again.😂
