They may not be allowed (Kadri rule), but they do happen, and can happen. All the teams have to do is keep quiet and not send the same picks back that we’re acquired in part one of the deal.
I alluded that if a two part deal does happen, the first part of the deal has to look semi-legit. I don't think the Rangers currently have immediate tradeable assets to accomplish bringing in a meaningful player. None they're willing to part with at this time.

I'm not sure how much interest Parsons might generate having some question marks because of his injury. I suppose some team might take a flyer. It could at least be enough for a two parter.

Love to see what MM comes up with before the deadline. Really have to be creative with what he has left. Zidlicky basically went for a 4th and 5th. Hopefully he can make a silk purse out of a sows ear with that deal. If he does find a partner for a "2 part deal" better make sure it's legit. I still think he will pull something else off by the deadline.

From Ranger's site: Mitchell Martin, Simon Motew and Francesco Pinelli are out of the lineup with upper body injuries. Hamara is travelling back Friday from the World Junior Championship and is not expected to play Friday in Saginaw. Mesar back in line up tonight.

Motew now as well? Yikes. This team just can't get a full lineup.

accuri is a pretty big fish.

i would argue if you need to add multiple elite players, your not that good to start with to be honest. should be supplementing your roster, not re-doing it all.

Arcuri, Moore, Zhilkin and Costantini are all pretty big adds.

Off-season adds of Hunter, Hamara and Mesar.

3 very good D, 3 very good F and probably a top 5 goalie when playing well and healthy.

I like the additions. Now just need everyone to get healthy and see what this full roster can do. I’d still like a gritty (but talented) 3rd liner to complete the top 3 lines.

ya, i always have liked kitcheners roster this year, just not sure why they cant ever seem to get going, everyone has had injuries this year.

was more a comment on marty in barrie who doesnt develop and just trades for all star teams every time he tries to win.

We don’t have enough to complete a two parter for anyone of significance, if for example, we wanted to bring in a big piece and Brzustewicz becomes the second part of the deal in the off season.

When we sent Varone and Tarasuk to London in the first part of the two parter for Mason, I believe three 2nds went as well. Then those picks came back in the off season for Kadri.

We may be able to drum up comparables to Varone and Tarasuk, but we have no 2nds to send.

That’s a dead stop as far as any significant two parter involving the Rangers.

Oshawa's 2 parter involved sending back their first rounder (Castle) that they hadn't even drafted yet at the time of part one. Get creative, I'm sure you can come up with something.

Rehkopf if it's a real Kadri type deal (London got 2 full seasons out of Naz)...that said I think Brz and Rehk are far more valuable trade assets for this franchises rebuild...you move them now, you're probably not upgrading the team enough (not sure who is better than Brz that is available on D; and Rehk you might find a marginally better, more experienced guy but not a massive upgrade).

Injury excuse will only take you so far. Tonight was brutal.

We're playing teams fighting injuries and players away just like we are but the inconsistency is still a massive issue.

Ill say it again, The Head Coach is the issue and until then its going to be an issue. His last two seasons as a head coach came half a deccade ago in the CIS. This was always a buy and go for it year and putting an experiment in the coaches chair is such a sack of s**t and that's on Mike McKenzie.

This was not the time to be hiring a wild card. We have the funds, the history and the city for the best of the best and we clearly did not go out and do that.
