There was that time when Mark was giddy to take our 5th for Paxton LerouxThe thing is Mark Hunter almost always gets more than mid round draft picks when he deals spare parts.

If you prorated that trade to the amount of time Leroux played in a Ranger uniform, it was the equivalent of three or four 2ndsThere was that time when Mark was giddy to take our 5th for Paxton Leroux
I once caught a glimpse of Mark Hunter's playbook. On page 6 it said: "If you receive a negative injury prognosis on a graduating player, call Kitchener immediately."There was that time when Mark was giddy to take our 5th for Paxton Leroux
In a word - none. Not without really, really mortgaging the future of this franchise. Mind you we have governments that have done this. I feel sorry for my grandchildren. Surely MM is smarter than any politician. What trade assets are left for Kitchener to get a big fish?
Way back on page 6. I'd hate to see what's on the first 5 pages.I once caught a glimpse of Mark Hunter's playbook. On page 6 it said: "If you receive a negative injury prognosis on a graduating player, call Kitchener immediately."
I'm pretty sure two part deals aren't actually allowed, so the first part of the deal has to look semi-legit. I don't think the Rangers have enough left to accomplish that.Have to think that Zid trade is part 1 or 2. It will be interesting to see if Del Mastro comes over after WJHC players trade ban is lifted?
I am probably wrong but maybe Missy/Kitch wanted him moved now as insurance incase someone else came in with a better deal?

Do we really need more D?Have to think that Zid trade is part 1 or 2. It will be interesting to see if Del Mastro comes over after WJHC players trade ban is lifted?

And I think dealing with the referees and linesmen is in a separate book.Page 3 is injure the opponents best player when down 3-1 in a series
Page 2 is bribe players to report but make sure commissioner gets a deal out of it as well
I'm glad kitchener tweeted out at the league for that disallowed goal in the playoffs last yearDo we really need more D?
And I think dealing with the referees and linesmen is in a separate book.
Not unless one goes back other wayDo we really need more D?

There has to be something in there about putting new GMs on speed dialAnd I think dealing with the referees and linesmen is in a separate book.
Yes probably not going to happen not enough picks left.Have to think that Zid trade is part 1 or 2. It will be interesting to see if Del Mastro comes over after WJHC players trade ban is lifted?

Sorry Tim, I have a hard time believing that's a direct quote; the spelling and grammar are too good .I once caught a glimpse of Mark Hunter's playbook. On page 6 it said: "If you receive a negative injury prognosis on a graduating player, call Kitchener immediately."
I’m not creating rumours here but I wonder if Zidlicky did or said something wrong that it forced the Rangers to trade him.
It is pretty much unheard of to trade a player at the start of a northern road trip. Unless it is for an impact player in return or some deal that you can’t pass up.
Side question to that is how would Zidlicky get to Mississauga right now from being in Saginaw now? Or well I guess to Kitchener first to get his stuff to move out.
Larmand and AnaniaYes probably not going to happen not enough picks left.
If anything might use these picks to add a player or two with grit.
I would say Rangers are done with the big name players.
Hard to say, we still have 5 03s and ultimately need to add picks for next year. Our current forward depth lags our depth on D. We can also use a tender for next season…Yes the two players you mention from the wolfs would be what the Rangers need.
Or even Toure from the wolfs who has size and plays physical.
Depends what the wolfs want back
They may not be allowed (Kadri rule), but they do happen, and can happen. All the teams have to do is keep quiet and not send the same picks back that we’re acquired in part one of the deal.I'm pretty sure two part deals aren't actually allowed, so the first part of the deal has to look semi-legit. You can never have too much D when embarking on a long playoff run. We don’t have the assets left for a big add, but we could add a veteran depth player on the cheap, as we did a couple years ago adding Holden Wale. When we added Wale, that brought us to eight D who could all play top six easily.Do we really need more D?
Rangers have 04 G-Parsons currently sitting on the IR. Out for the season with shoulder surgery. For me, with us rebuilding over the next couple seasons, and Vandenberg’s strong play this year and DiFelice signed, he could be made available for trade.Hard to say, we still have 5 03s and ultimately need to add picks for next year. Anania brings physical play and a great shot blocker. Tough in front of net and is capable of joining the rush from time to time…hard D to trade as he is deemed an asset but will definitely help any team wanting to make a deep run. Problem, we still need to make the playoffs this year and Coach MacKenzie(s) have the team plying great hockey….Parsons is interesting.Rangers have 04 G-Parsons currently sitting on the IR. There is the injury issue to consider but when he returns, he’s be a good #1 as a 19 year old and if Sudbury is two years away from planning to contend, he could very well be a stud #1 in his OA season.
Would it be better for the Rangers down the road to hang onto Parsons? Sure. He would easily bring more value when healthy and back playing next year, but the same can be said regarding Zidlicky as well yet we just gave him away for sketchy return.
With what we have left to deal today, he, 05 C-Mercer and our 3rd ‘23, are the best we have in movable assets that we’d be willing to deal. I wouldn’t call 05 D-Andonovski untouchable, but we need his physicality in the lineup. The only way I see him dealt is if it’s part of a deal for an older D who brings what he does ++.
The Cajan / Parsons tandem was a major reason why we upset London in the first round last spring. Both played stellar in the crease.Anania brings physical play and a great shot blocker.
