Dach is doing great WTF
If Dach is traded , it as to be for a other top 6 talent.
Dach at 1 goal five points and minus 9 is your definition of great?

Let me guess Hutson is doing great as well?

Dach was a bust when the habs acquired him and the fact that the hawks dumped him at 21 after being a 3rd overall pick was a pretty big red flag.

This will age about as well as the Slaf posts last fall and the Monahan posts last December/January.... Or the Lafreniere posts the last 2-3 years.

Dach is doing just fine all things considered. If he stays mostly healthy this year, he'll finish stronger than he started & next year sky's the limit.

Cost to get him out of Montreal is likely, rightfully so, the type that would make a bunch a people lose their sh*t and crowded lineups at the crow buffet

This.

Dach scored one goal on the Hawks where he used his reach and looked like vintage Mario.

I was like " holy crap the Hawks finally got somebody"

Turns out it was just a glitch.

Would rather "die" with him than trade him for cheap change

In a few seasons, not a chance im trading him right now unless they offer me something i cant refuse

I think he will be fine on RW, he is far more efficient on the wings, maybe he was just not a center after all. He missed a whole year of hockey and had so much injuries so young it's normal it's taking time. The habs also doesnt have a good supporting cast on the offense so they rely a lot on him

No doubt, cheap change isn't going to cut it.

Say we bundle him with another piece though, how much do you expect the offer's value to raise?

I've got a 2nd and a cap dump... We'll have to revisit after 40 games.

But wait, there is a podcast assuring us that Dach is just as good or better than guys like Brayden Point.

:blah:

Seriously for a moment, seems early for this.

Unlike Newhook this guy is just coming off an entire lost season. That’s bad of course in and of itself but I’d give him some more time. He’s got physical traits. He’s probably better as a lanky playmaking winger...I don’t see him as a good 5v5 center solution. But he’s definitely got offensive tools.

Habs can’t sell this low on him. See what he looks like at the end of the year, not at the end of a October blow-out loss.

Not sure, trade évaluation is not my cup of tea, i say we should keep him since we will be lookin probably for a 2nd C, we will have to include good piece and it could bite us in the bum

Dach as a C is still very much a question mark, but Dach as a RW.... he's been very good. So before they trade him, they will move him at RW permanently and try to find another C for the 2nd line. And because of his size, MTL will be very reluctant to trade him if they think they have a top 6 guy in him as a RW.

Gimme your best offer!

It's clear Habs may be headed towards a clearance of not so interesting pieces. Lets see where Dach moves the needle.
KD is a really good, young, right shot centre, who brings skill, toughness, and size. These guys are not so easy to get. Habs put KD on the market and there would be a bidding war.
