You know what I don't like?

Him saying his wrist is sore, almost like he let it slip, before saying, you know like any other body part.

It didn't sound right at all to me, and I also felt he generally lacked confidence when speaking about how it has healed.

I don't question his talent but I do question his ability to get past such a serious injury.
Considering how gruesome his injury was. I can imagine it will take him awhile before he's 100% confident. I know when I've personally suffered injuries. Even after I've been medically cleared so to speak. It's usually awhile before I fully push it.

There's only so much a surgeon could actually say.

I too hope they did their homework, but if it's sore now, at his young age, before the grind of an 82 game season, I'm worried for how it holds up long term.

I'm not suggesting he's going to retire, just that it may hold him back from realizing his potential. That was no ordinary wrist injury.

I may worry too much, but it doesn't make me wrong.

He literally admitted it gets sore and we're 2 days into pre-season.

I'm SCARED

"Sore" isn't a good sign, the wrist issue could be long-lasting.
From the day he got hurt, everyone knew it may change his career. But he didn't miss a game last season for a sore wrist, nor did he once use the wrist issue as an excuse for poor performance. At least his wrist won't be any worse this year than it was last year, though probably not back to pre-injury levels, so just looking forward, as he said.

You think of.. football before hockey when it comes to number 77?

It was only worn by offensive linemen, but now with the jersey number rule abolished and anyone can wear any number
Dont think there are too many 77's left over there..

It looks GREAT on a hockey jersey so yeah, puzzling post
Puzzling? Everyone thinks they're Gretzky now.

You can teach faceoffs, but you can't teach talent. Dach is a good passer, you can't teach that; whereas, faceoffs seems like studying for an exam. Therefore, I'm not too worried. I just hope Dach keeps passing and sticks to his strengh aka playmaking because he said he wanted to shoot more and has been practicing his shot a lot over the summer. Playing to his strenght!
Evans will be on his wing if he struggle at the dot. He won over 400 FO last year at 49.80
