I will ask it again....why would a team that decides to go full rebuild give up on a 21 year old 6'4 RH center that was drafted 3rd overall? That should have been a red flag visible from outer space.
I agree, I think we are seeing why.

That would mean waiting two more years for Dach.
I feel there’s a difference between “waiting” on the guy like he’s totally going to carry a contending top 6 line in the nhl and somehow save the habs vs keeping him around because of potential on bottom lines and always looking for options.

This thread sounds more polarized than it needs to be imo. Not sure how the spotlight of the green jacket run helps his confidence either playing vs top opposition while rehabbing.

Not the point I was making. He had a great game tonight, too.

no shots, no points, no hits and a -1 in a blowout vs a totally crap team, playing on an offensive line while being Invisible all evening.

Drew some penalties getting ragdolled, high sticked and tripped so that’s good (man he’s unlucky).

You reaaalllly want us to like him lol

That line dominated possession. He set up Newhook and had an assist on the Laine "goal".

Not only that but he got in and used his shot.

You don't have to like him, I don't care. But at least acknowledge when he played a good game. Which he did. He has slowly raised his game over the last couple of weeks and the process should result in points sooner rather than later.

He drew those penalties through his effort, which is something you guys want to knock at every turn.

I don’t see how any of those penalties were a result of effort, which I don’t personally question; I think he is giving his best after a series of really bad injuries.

I try not to use break or any connotation of break in posts about Kirby Dach.:sarcasm:
As categorical as I have been about his performance I’m empathetic to him, I mean poor guy. I hold my breath when he’s in traffic almost as often as I used to when watching Markov fetch pucks in the corner.
