I agree 100%. Also, when we draft another forward this year, this allows us to put one of Newhook or Roy on the third line, giving us great depth.

No. ACL takes at least 10 months . I had the injury myself playing college footbal. 10 months is the earliest . To be fine on skate might be more 12 .

iirc, the doctor made him agree to not even attempt to play this season before taking him on.

He had to agree to not play before June before doing the surgery. His currently skating his part of his rehabilitation.

I agree, the last thing the Habs will do is rush him back into the lineup. He will have a full year to get back to 100% (or as close as possible). Dach is a critical piece to Montreal's future. He was poised for a huge breakout.

I have no concerns about Dach's potential as you can see he is a play driver. I only worry about injuries.

I think he has tremendous potential, like PPG potential. But staying on the ice is a major concern.

Hopefully this is the last big injury he has.
