Jack Hughes is quickly becoming the most underrated player in the league
Underrated based on what? His 21 point rookie season or when he followed it up with 31 points? It’s certainly not his all round game or his physical presence.

For the record I picked Hughes in the poll. I think his ceiling is very high. But unless many people are calling him an AHL quality player or something like that it’s kinda silly to suggest he’s the most underrated player in the NHL lol.

Underrated based on posts like this who evaluate him based on his point totals lol.

Jack has more natural offensive abilities but Dach is probably the best young power forward in the game.

Cant go wrong with either guy, although DACH should be a better guy for long playoff runs.

Dach has actually been a lot better than i expected, and Hughes has been fairly disappointing, even relative to my somewhat tempered early expectations for him due to size deficiency and style of play adaptation needed. But i'd still ride with Hughes for the long-run, at this point.

People can't let the pre draft scouting go. They'll do anything to make their scouting report correct. Hughes can play in his own end, and well.

Why doesn’t he kill penalties then? The Devils had such a bad PK. And he’s one of the worst face off men in the league.
