Player Discussion Kirby Dach (Part 3): TabarDach Edition!

To be fair, if the latest trend continues he won't be making 3rd liner money either.

Hard to imagine if he has another injury season. What a downer if that happens. To both Habs fans and for Dach. I expect some level of rebound.

If we trade him, you usually see a 1/1 flip. Kind of like the Galchenyuk for Domi trade. Ideally, he is in a trade package with some picks to improve the C position but not sure that is available. We will see.

Imagine trading Dach with picks and Dach actually does have a very good contract year? We better get something back that actually fills a hole. Otherwise, we would be guilty of trying to force a trade

Laine Dach Demidov

Both Laine and Dach need a new contract, and they have Demidov.

For the love of God, Dach stay healthy

Not from what I saw anyway for Dach, Laine sure
Why all the bad stupid penalties?
Why arriving to training camp out of shape?
Why being the worst +\- before being gone for the season and it’s not because he had all the hard match ups?

There is a reason Chicago didn’t hesitate to ship him out.

Did not see all the game so can't comment on all the penalty

Out of shape, what does it have to do with Demidov? Yes I agree he need to have a better summer, and the management talked about that at the press conference

+/- did you see his linemate... Laine Newhook who else, lol c'mon dude... The whole team was shit before we sent down Primeau and traded Barron

The reason was they mismanaged his wrist injury and there was bad blood on both sides. It had nothing to do with work ethic.

Dach is not a gamer or winner.
Suzuki is.
Hutson is.
Caufield is.
Gallagher is.
Guhle is.

Laziness and bad work ethic.
The lines 2-4 were all guilty of this for a big chunk of the year, and line 1 had long stretches of being really lazy. It's like Dach is trying to force a style of play he isn't good at, he needs to reinvent himself.

Could it be MSL is forcing him to play in a certain way?

He has a turn radius like a cruise ship, nothing drives me more crazy than watching him do a slow loop to get back onside in the offensive zone, or a quick trip behind the opponents net when the puck is already heading up ice

It’s clear he’s paranoid about making any sharp turns at all with his knees, which makes him useless as a player

worse case scenario I am hoping Dach can reinvent himself as a gritty 3rd line winger. He has a mean streak and his first season with the habs he was fantastic on the cycle game and winning battles. If he can come back with an edge, strong board play, a chippiness as a bottom 6 it would at least salvage some aspect of the risk taken on him.

He wouldn't be the first player to turn it around from multiple early-career injuries, but the odds are against him. My expectations of him are very low at this point. I'm hoping he can bring back the magic of his first season with the habs.

When he fist came back it was like that and that was completely understandable given he injury but after a while, he was skating very well without much hesitation.

So you know him personally?
I don’t have to, it’s pattern recognition.

And saying he's a loser really ?
Are you putting words in my mouth?
Have you been injured in your life that affected your job ?
Yes I did and no it didn’t affect my job.

Kirby Dach has access to some of the best mental, physical and general health professionals Montreal has to offer and as much as he wants or needs, all of this can be done in the comfort of his home without a cost to him!
Is it the case for people like you and I?
Why keep defending him? What’s his excuse?
Isn’t the guy being paid million of dollars for a job most can only dream of?

Lots of hockey players have had injuries a lot more serious than what Dach had and most didn’t come to training camp out of shape.
I do and my production took a hit

If Dach was truly serious he would spend this summer in Montreal rehabilitating. Whatever he did last summer didn't work.

Don't putting word in your mouth but you say he's not a gamer or a winner, the guy had freak injury since junior, don't know the guy but injury can take a lot on the mental, like I said all he have to do is be injury free, it's not like his skill have vanish in the air suddenly, he can still be a top 6 C 60 points plus per year with his playmaking skill with Demidov, again he will need to have a very good summer we all know that and the contract year should be an extra motivation for him, I don't want to say it's is last chance for him from me cause there's a lot of things I don't know, but what can i do I love those huge skilled forward and beside him and Slaf, well...
