Awesome game last night, coming off food poisoning so I wasn't able to go but looked like a fun one to be at.

4th line played great early, especially with Willis and Soto out up front them getting a goal early was big, plus props to Mondoux for his first point. I could see him playing minutes next year.

I couldn't really see what happened on that first goal but I don't remember the last time I recall seeing a goalie that left out to dry.

Guindon and Uronen looked amazing together as they have been, a couple awesome passes and awesome finishes.

Must win today in Peterborough before Barrie on Family Day. Unfortunately Oshawa game back against Guelph and Brantford spanked Niagara so no gain in the strandings.

Absolutely great game was very impressed. Also Pieniniemi out. Not sure why.

Yes and Pete’s play well in their own barn especially and have been a different team since their 0-17 point of the year.

I think fronts end up 4/5/6 personally and the next stretch over around the next month I’d be happy if they go 0.500 vs those teams. Good to play them right before the playoffs though. Just hoping we don’t play brantford first round. Anyone else I think they’d be alright against. Brampton would be really hard though especially with Ivankovic.

Had the game on in the background while watching Canada shit the bed so wasn't fully paying attention but it looked like the first goal is one Vaccari would like to have back.

If this tight East race comes down to a point this lost point might be the one we come back to.

Hopefully Dervin is available for Monday, if not it'll either be McCuaig in or maybe they'll go 7 D assuming Pieniniemi is back, because Miedema is definitely getting suspended for that hit. I don't think it'll be more than the 2 games but that was a pretty textbook hit from behind.

Will be back for Monday against Barrie
Sounds like Soto and Willis will be more of a week to week with their injuries
Huge. Soto and Willis are big losses but really missing pieniniemi on the powerplay especially.

Both hit different areas of the team. Depth for the first 2 and then our powerplay with Pieniniemi (good lil ring to it?)

Asking because I am interested, not trying to cause trouble.

What will be a good season for the Fronts?

You did not give up a lot of your core so have a few good players coming back.

Also cansomeone tell me how Brantford keeps starting mid packand then explodes, Are they the Easts version of the Knights

Regarding Brantford, my opinion

Typical Jay McKee team. They start the year working on systems, everyone plays. This lets players actually develope.

If you really watch our games, he's not afraid to give the 3rd or 4th line a shift in the D zone, or after a goal for or against.

Beginning of year is focused on process, not results. Adding Hamara and Jiricek to the backend certainly was timely.

Bulldogs management beefs up the backend. The special teams start to roll. And here we are.

As you said I think the Jiricek arrival and Hamara return timing kinda kickstarted the Bulldogs- they've been virtually unstoppable since around that timeframe. Lardis scoring seemingly at will lately too sure doesn't hurt.

Obviously you want to go as far as possible, realistically I don't like our matchup with Brantford or Brampton if that happens to come. I think we can compete with Oshawa and Barrie if they play the game Mann has been teaching them -- and of course we have a healthy Willis/Bishop/Pienniemmi

So the old-style Bert Templeton Killer idea still exists I think Hunter also does this. I actually like this style better than what a lot of teams are doing, just playing their top 2-3 lines and only giving kids a couple of minutes on the 4th line.

So if you think a solid outing into the 2nd round would be reasonable I can see that. Who knows maybe your goaltending can steal you a couple in tht round BUT looking at everyone, yeah 2nd round is reasonable.

Boys are banged up and depth is stretched here with Miedema being suspended

Battaglia-Guidon-Uronen
Pickell-Hay-Heyes
Clark-Hopkins-Wright
McCuaig-Buttar-Kelly

Burns-Moore
Pieniniemi-Uens
McGowan-Williamson

Schenkel Starts.

Fronts can clinch a playoff spot tonight with 1 point as well

Both teams missing players but 2 points is 2 points. From what I recall seeing the goals against live Kingston needs to crackdown on the backdoor passes. Schenkel completely left out to dry multiple times.

I've gotta say, I don't think I was at the earlier Barrie game this year, but damn firm the Barrie end I was not impressed by Eliasson at all. As an NHL drafted import I expected him to be decent but he is not a good hockey player. Gets bumped off the puck by a player 9 inches shorter in Pickell leading directly to a Kingston goal. Boy am I glad the Sens picked him...

Going to need a perfect effort against Brantford on Friday. They need to stick someone on Lardis all game and force someone else to beat them.
