Hopkins ranked 54 on Bobby Mac's midseason list, Dervin listed as an HM so to put a number it'd be somewhere between 81-96.
I see how it is, guy gets a couple second round grades and then decides to take a day off... Just kidding of course.Looks like there is no Tyler Hopkins today for the Fronts

Ottawa's struggling and is banged up (only 11 skaters with another new signing playing his first game today) so hopefully it's more of a precaution since they have a busy couple weeks coming up.
It'll be good to see Wright get a look a little higher up, kid has wheels for days.
Crap yep you're rightI sure hope you mean 11 forwards
I agree. Not putting up the points like some of these other guys because he’s been used sparingly and I’d like to know how many touches he actually gets per game compared to other guys like Battaglia, Uronen, Guindon, Miedema etc.I think Hopkins can quite easily sneak into the 2nd round during the draft.
Personally I think his stock has continuously increased.
Glad it doesn’t seem like a long term injury- just day to day that’s alright. Probably don’t need him too badly for this Ottawa game anyways.Hopkins jammed his wrist just precaution at the moment
IMO he profiles as a high floor low ceiling kind of guy. He should have a solid NHL career but he'll need at least a couple years in the AHL, and I also don't know if he'll ever be a true top of the lineup guy.I agree. I find he doesn’t get involved enough offensively but is a great 2 way player with some speed, iq and obviously some great potential. He will be a big riser over the next 2 years similar to how sennecke wasn’t drafted 3rd overall for his skill set last year but for his NHL projection a few years down the road.
Next year should take a big leap with lots of our guys gone to the AHL or bigger and better things. Will be one of the main guys.
I agree. Perhaps 2nd/3rd line at best but still a solid career and maybe he gets 10-15 years out of it. Pretty safe bet he makes the NHL at some point imo barring injuries not sure I’d say that about guys like Ludwinski, Burns, Miedema etc at this point of their own respective draft years.IMO he profiles as a high floor low ceiling kind of guy. It's early but one thing I've noticed with Schenkel is that he allows goals early in periods.Great game tonight, the only downside I can think of is Schenkel's goals he gave up, didn't matter in the end but he seemed to go down early on both goals and gave them up pretty easily. But a Win is a Win
