Rumours of clattenburg to Kingston possibly
They need a tough guy. Have been saying this since early November

Get clattenburg and get Gibson and see what the team can do. Should be mainly picks- maybe soo would want Velliaris plus a lot of picks if Oshawa can’t get their side of the deal done.

We would get a great top 9 player with leadership and grit and a guy who would drop the gloves when one of our young guys gets decked (see Buttar last game) Gibson is arguably the best defensive d man in the league and is a RHD.

Things change fast in junior hockey holy. No more than 24 hours ago we were all pissed off at cooper.

Cooper has to nail both of these deals- both are needed. (And that’s assuming a team like Brantford for example doesn’t push their chips in for this year acquiring Gibson or Sudbury offers Blonda, Chitaroni and picks for potentially Gibson and Mignosa)

Wow Williamson being up close 30 mins is crazy to see as well but he's handled it as well as you could've asked him to.

Having an ATOI of 26:46 in the last 10 games with one game of 1:19 is crazy LOL

Thanks for the numbers!

If this Gibson deal is dead with Oshawa and the rumour of Mignosa going with him I wonder if Cooper can go for one or both of them. Would be huge. Hopes still aren't too high, but at least Oshawa hit a snag...for now.

Kingston
Trade 1 is with Sarnia just saw it on the Frontenacs site. They traded the rights to Matthew Manza for a conditional 10th in 2027 and if he reports it changes to a 4th in 2027 and a 4th in 2028

That was actually the third one. There's 2 more.
One is going to surprise a few as it was a player no one thought they would move and i'm not talking about Hoppy.

Mcnamara to Windsor for a pick.

Willis, Hay, Bishop to Kingston for Wier, Vellairis and 15 picks or something insane.

Not a fan of that for Kingston. Hay is a horrendous defender and was a huge liability in the playoffs last year. Willis is a solid playmaker, but I'm not sure he's the impact guy that they need.

At least they are three solid 2nd tier players. It is a valiant push. It doesn’t’ do anything for goaltending but it is at least an honest push.

Saginaw bastardizing their roster while keeping Misa… an interesting move to say the least. They must be uber confident he is returning no matter what next year.

Charlie S to Kingston is not out of the question yet either. -IMO this is probably the most important move Kingston can make right now. -Don't throw Betts to the wolves like this.

They want to hear "Michael Misa from the Saginaw Spirit" in the draft this summer and I don't blame them. If he goes straight to pros or (unlikely) off to college they're willing to live with that.

Next season is the time to trade Misa imo.
Let him draft high (top 3 or 5) and and he will be at his highest value imo.

I couldn't agree more. It would arguably be more impactful that this current rumoured trade, given the extent of the upgrade.

Correct...the issue that most people bring up is that he may not be back next year so "get what you can" for him but he's worth the price of admission still this year so they won't move him. Next year they would for sure unless he's not willing to move but I would guess he'd be open to a move especially if it took him closer to home. He's a great kid, I've talked with him a couple times at events around town.

I am glad Ottawa traded Konecny a year early and got Chemelvski plus picks. Had they waited……

The NCAA guys are spreading stuff to try and grow their programs and get likes.
Saginaw knows what Misa is doing. -If there was truth to it he would be gone already imo.

Agreed. I think most of the NCAA stuff is just that, click bait.

The issue for Misa is whether he plays NHL or not. Where he is being picked, he is likely to get his ELC signed and done before the NCAA Season even starts.
