Zero chance Pie gets moved.
Only here because Troy had his brother send him here because he knew there was massive holes in the back end.
+ Part of the arrangement was having Uronen with him to make him comfortable away from home.

With all of the talk on the Oshawa board being about Kingston I think we should all start talking on here lol.

I don’t expect kingston to make a bunch of moves but one I’d like is Allard from the Soo. They should be able to get him for Heyes, Velliaris and picks.

Put Allard top Line as the centre, get rid of Heyes (but he should find a spot on some other team- he’s proven he can be flexible this year and is always amazing on PK)

Allard will help with the loss of Heyes on the PK, he is a top line centre- not the same tier as some guys like Ritchie, Cowan, Wakely etc in the league but probably a tier 2 guy like the Luke Misa’s, Pano Fimis’s of the league. He has an A on his jersey so that implies he is a capable leader (as Heyes is) Also he is a lot more talented than Heyes so that’ll help.

I wonder if this would work for a trade. FYI SSM is without their 5th in 2025, 3rd in 2026, 2nd in 2027

To Kingston: Owen Allard

To SSM: Gage Heyes, Xander Velliaris(reunite the 2 brothers? Lol) BRA 5th 2025, FLNT 2nd 2026, KGN 3rd 2027, FLNT 3rd 2028

I think you will get a good amount of competition for Allard, specifically from Brampton.

Uronen is back after missing the last 2 games due to the suspension. He seems to be the missing piece on the powerplay- hopefully we can get that going tonight. it’s been pretty shaky the last 2 games.

I assume we will see a lot of shifts for the top 5 d and the occasional shift for Velliaris

Not sure where Lalonde is? Anyone know if he is hurt or sick? I hope vaccari does well. Betts hasn’t played a game yet but it’s bound to happen at some point- could happen tonight.

Allard/McNamara - Uronen would be line to put out against other’s top line I think

I was thinking more of Hopkins-Allard-Soto for defence and then the scoring line of Battaglia-Guindon-Uronen, Miedema with McNamara and Pickell and from time to time can switch Soto and pickell- keep 4th line the same

L1A Battaglia-Guindon-Uronen
L1B Hopkins-Allard-Soto
L3 Miedema-McNamara-Pickell
L4 Clark Buttar Weir

Extra F Kelly (Or send down so he can get minutes in OJHL and bring up some older forward that is open to coming just for 4th line/13th forward)

Yeah maybe but didn’t Brampton just pick up Lefebvre? Would they trade Leskovar who is on D for a forward?

Why would they keep LeFebvre? They have multiple injuries up front right now and an open OA spot. An 11th for a stop gap solution is much more likely than that being the actual “we’re done” move.

If they needed bodies that bad would it not just make sense to call up some of their drafted players like every other team does?

I don’t think they’re done obviously it’s November but I don’t think they’ll get rid of Lefebvre after going out and getting him

It’s an 11th round pick. Who cares? It’s like a free player.
Maybe Lefebvre cares?

Why would he waste his overage year with a team only using him for a roster spot until guys get healthy. Would make more sense just going over to the Q- they probably struck a deal working it out so he has a place to stay for the rest of the year.

The Petes waived him two weeks ago. Like other OAs, he’s the odd man out in Peterborough. Better to play in Brampton than eat popcorn in the press box in Peterborough.

Great game by the fronts. Dominated pretty much start to finish.

If they plan on trading for a top 4 d man- Mitch Young on Sarnia would be a very good one to get. Isn’t NHL drafted either so he could be back next year and we could trade him. Could move Weir, Moore or Velliaris in this trade (with picks)

Could have a defence of

Pieniniemi-Burns

Young-Williamson

McGowan-Uens

Extras: Velliaris, Moore (1 prob gets traded?)

I’d be pretty comfortable with that group. Then add Owen Allard from the soo and I think I’d be very happy with this group. Could add another piece or two after but these would be 2 very good moves.

Are you losing Uronen and Pie for 2 months, WJC?

As to trades unless Cooper goes shopping for support players I think he is going t have to wait to see what the crumbs are after all the big guns get finished.

As for Betts, I think he will be like Conway: sit on the bench but not play that way; they save a card.

Still would not be surprised to see Cooper do a bit of a soft sell instead of a soft buy. Time will tell though we really will not know until the New Year when GM's start to haggle for real.

Likely losing both yes. Should be about a month I believe Canadas camp usually starts around December and they usually end jan1st-8th depending on how they do. Finland may get sent home early at the start of January rather than a week into it

I think it’s unlikely they do a soft sell but me personally I would absolutely trade a piece or 2 or even 3(if it means we can an 08)

I would’ve traded Ludwinski last year and we didn’t do that.

Still a chance of him coming back believe I read somewhere he has played 13 games and has 1 point in the ahl.

Josh bloom last year had 1 point through 14 games then got sent down to the echl and that didn’t work out for him too well and then finally they decided to send him back down to the OHL. Hopefully the same thing happens with ludwinski and we won’t need to waste picks on other teams pieces
