I’d personally like to pay for a guy like ride who may not be as good but kind of plays the same way- top 4 and would be back next year. That’s why I think ride would be awesome. Would be more expensive for 2 years but they’d make it back next year anyways when they shop him.
Ride went for a back up goalie, 2 3s, 2 4s and a 9 last year - value-wise that's right along the linked of what I was thinking of them giving up. Something like Velliaris, 2 3s and a 4.

They'd still have a ton of picks left to make moves up front and upgrade Heyes if they decide to go down that route.

I think North bay would consider that. Velliaris although he isn’t great right now- was drafted as a big project d man and next year I could see a big breakout(and he would still only be 18)

I would then trade Heyes, a 2nd, 2 3rds and a 4th for swick and call it a day unless they could get mews(which I’d give up whatever Ottawa would be asking for except Hopkins obviously) and then trade him the following deadline for either a ton of picks (restock cupboard completely) or a 16 year old and a few picks. Mews should be a top 3 d man in league next year and get a look at team Canada. We already know he is open to playing here with Battaglia. I think they could get this done

The only issue with adding both Mews and Ride is the question of who sits (I'm not sure if I see them sitting Uens), although thinking about it I wouldn't be surprised if they went to 11/7 in that hypothetical, keep Clark/Buttar for the occasional shift here and there with someone else.

Kingston doesn’t have the pieces for Mews. I am 100% certain Boyd will not move Mews for picks only. He will need a good prospect and Kingston doesn’t have one they can afford to move because it subtracts from the competitive roster.

I think getting an impact 19 year old or an OA D-Man is more likely if primarily using picks.

If a Mews to Kingston move were possible, it would likely have been in the Frasca deal.

Yeah I think it'll be tough to get a deal done, but then again, if you told me before the year that neither Rehkopf or Barlow would get an '08 I probably wouldn't believe it.

Obviously very different situations with Mews being an '06, but between the other trades, the NCAA ruling and how well/bad some teams are doing it seems like a year where enaything could happen.

Vaccari vs Koprowski. Owen sound doesn’t have Konnor smith tonight.

Should be a high scoring game

Hypothetically speaking, you may be able to get Mews with jsut picks but there would need to be extenuating circumstances involved.

I just think the option for Andonovski for just picks may be more possible considering they already traded Rehkopf for just picks.

Well that was quite the game... Glad to see Buttar finally get his first.

They definitely benefited from having Koprowski start but Kingston was all over them so I think it still would've ended up a 2-3 goal game. George had two unreal saves on the same shift that goes in against almost every other goalie in the league.

Whats with all the empty seats ?

You guys have a great team .
Was everyone at Taylor Swift ?
People don’t care for the team here. Don’t understand why. People complain if they suck and don’t come out when they’re in first place.

That was the smallest crowd of the year I believe

Being around to see the indifference when the Kingston-Windsor, London trades were made was a surprise. Really, you people don’t care that Villardi was just acquired?

Ya gotta spend $$$ to make $$$. If there is no tangible Marketing and Advertising push in a year like this, there never will be one under this ownership group.

The days of open the doors and let them in when it comes to any form of paid entertainment are over.

The need to make a bigger to push to the college/university students but every time there is a large group of students there's nonstop complaints from the old guard about how disrespectful they are.

Exactly. And when the old guys all die off or lose interest who’s going to fill the seats?

Personally I always think it’s funny seeing some drunk guys at the game as long as they’re not starting fights in stands or using a ton of language in front of younger kids it should be fine.

I know in 103 there was complaints about our mascot last year LOL. Can’t make this shit up. People should sit at home and knit if they’re going to complain about that.

Create an atmosphere. The end. That is marketing. Figure out the identity of the team, create an atmosphere around it, dump money into advertising that and then be patient and keep pushing.

Most Junior teams have a strong mix of local Minor Hockey programs where the kids can have a little fun. They keep those groups in very specific areas in an effort to create some form of respectful boundary.

The STH usually dominate the centre ice seats. Create a VIP section specifically for STH’s. Cater to their needs even if it means you set up barriers in the stands as well as on the upper concourse. If a STH complains about anything related to disruption, steer them to the VIP section. Wanna keep your corner STH seats, well, times have changed.

Craft another “sponsored” section specifically for University and College kids. Tickets available in that section require a Student ID to purchase and are available at a discount price which is subsidized by the sponsor package for that section.

There is absolutely no reason why the Fronts cannot redesign the flow of that building, rope off certain sections and cater to the more mature crowd as well as the party crowd and young kids. It only takes some effort and $$$ to reimagine the building.
