Chromiak and uens won’t work as a pair they play very similar games puck moving wise- getting caught up the ice etc I believe that’s why uens is on the second d line right now to split those 2 up.

I think they’ll play Hopkins as a third line winger with Dubois centreing and thibs on the other side
So 4 forward lines will look like

1 Battaglia ludwinski soto

2 Miedema frasca hemstrom

3 hopkins dubois thibodeau

4 McNamara Poole heyes

Extra f cavallin

Or they could swap hemstrom and thibodeau if that’s a better fit but I can’t see Dubois playing over frasca or ludwinski as the c. And with how good of a centreman he is I don’t see him playing wing.

Or they could move frasca to RW, dubois to C on line 2 with hemstrom coming down, and Hopkins as the centre on line 3.
Mann seems to like McNamarra, and has been giving Hopkins limited ice. I think you'll see McNamara with Dubois and possibly hemstrom. I think you will see Frasca with Miedema and Thibodeau and then the 4th line will be Poole with Heyes and Hopkins - as you said Cavallin as extra F.

I'm hearing of a Kyle Downey sighting at Fronts practice yesterday....not sure what that means in the grand scheme of things, but it's my understanding this may be the first time he's come to Kingston.

Was there ever any clarification on how/why he played with Guelph? I heard that it was an emergency goalie situation but his profile online has him as a member of the Storm - if it was an emergency loan I'd expect him to still be listed as a Front.

It looks like Stouffville has two weeks off so maybe just giving him some work?

I agree with an earlier post that we missed the window of opportunity with a possible Ludwinski trade. I hope we get at least another piece to get us through a round in the playoffs. Also , on a side note it is ex Fronts captain david Lings birthday today

I don't know about any of that - just told he was on the ice with Kingston yesterday.

Draft day story about Ling. When Kingston drafted Ling, Kilrea came over to the table and said Congrats, you got yourself a good one.

If they hold onto him and traded for 2 OA’s just to win 1 series they’re having a serious judgement problem.

Those are good lines too. I’m just hoping they don’t ruin Hopkins development as he should be a big part of the team next year. Hopefully playing in top 6

Mississauga traded veccia for picks. Both Hamilton and Mississauga looks like they’re in a way better spot then fronts next year. Fronts have to do something here…

I’m sure he’ll see more ice time than 4th line from time to time. I.e., if someone is struggling or players are away. He looks ready to bust out and I expect that next year.

What do you want them to do? Sell off? They clearly seem to think they can win the conference this year. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have burned the assets to get OAs and keep Ludwinski.

They still have plenty of assets to use for next year, next year. So, I expect a full sell off at that point.

its too late but they should have done a bit of a soft sell to set up for a monster run next year.

Yeah, I think the only thing in my mind that really works with that, while taking a swing this year as well, is getting a real solid 05 (or even 06). But, I’m not sure if any of the top dogs were willing to part with a player that is a slight step down from Ludwinski this year but could be his level next year. That to me would have been optimal.

Chances that this would happen any given deadline are as close to zero as possible. Any player that fits the bill would be too valuable to a team trying to contend this year. They only way this ever works is doing separate deals with separate teams. Anyone telling you anything otherwise is selling snake oil.

Soo did a deal like this a couple years ago, dealing 03 Boudreau and 03 Holmes to Sudbury to acquire 02 Thompson. Ask Sudbury how that worked out the next year?

Imo with them picking up Dubois. Sell ludwinski now for lots of picks.

Dubois can swap out for ludwinski on line 1 pp1 pk1 etc. a downgrade but will help in long run to stay competitive

A team like Sudbury. If they did even something like Walton or villeneuve and a pick for ludwinski in the end i would still even prefer that over not doing anything with ludwinski and keeping him.

Sudbury needs more centre depth anyways and ludwinski would be a good 2C behind goyette
