I think Chromiak has less value than Sirman or Smythe would have been
The reason why nobody wants sirman or smythe is because their OA’s. Chromiak although not a good import is only 19. Wouldn’t use up one of the OA spots. Could see someone tossing a 4th or a 5th for him realistically. Probably Niagara

Maybe some Subway gift cards?
yes hopefully about 5 and they can ration them throughout the season

I still say that Sirman and Smyth have more value as a defenceman than Chromiak. I am not talking about a body I am talking about ability. Chromiak was an experiment that did not work in Kingston under Mann. Therefore I am not sure what he would bring to a team other than hey we ahve an imort defenceman.

Here in SE Asia schools love to have Native English Speaking white males or females teaching at their schools. The ability to teach is not important. It is the fact that they can push the person in front to say to parents see, we have an English teacher.

Chromiak brings nothing to the table. If he did, then he would have been traded already.

On a crap team he can be a top 4 d man. However any good team I don’t think he cracks the top 6.

Had a 5 point game last year. Would be shocked if nobody wanted to atleast try out the Chromiak experiment

With the season about to start, some of you are just ridiculous with the comments, the OA and import bashing, the mass trading talk of players who are now considered obsolete by the wannabe GM posters… I think these guys deserve a little bit more respect with these over the line comments. These players have spent thousands of hours trying to be the best they can be for their respective teams, they move away as kids to live with a new family and give everything they can to make it as a professional hockey player…through no fault of their own some get caught in the politics within a team and get eaten up.

A lot of these players are promised everything and are lied to or are treated poorly. Half of these players are given limited minutes to perform, many can absolutely perform just as good or better than players slotted higher but it’s impossible to move up in the line up.

All of these players have accomplished more in this game than anyone on here writing about them has, and they have helped build the league for the enjoyment of everyone yet it’s so easy to anonymously criticize them by coming on here as an expert and diminishing the worth of a player by valuing them to a bag of pucks, a case of beer etc.

I’m sure some of these players know about this site and come on here to read the gossip of their team only to find the fan base treating them like dirt.

You might remember the London player who took his life. Nobody knows what led to that terrible day but I can only imagine JR hockey and the pressure he felt may have been a contributor. These players go through a lot, have a little respect for the players that allow us to be apart of this game.

Molnar may need to be moved first. Then Saginaw or Peterborough should be willing to give up a pick for Chromiak.

I doubt Peterborough is giving up a draft pick to add an 05 DMan to take away developmental time from their young defencemen. It would push Ladds or Gowan out of the lineup which makes little sense given where the Petes are in their competitive window.

If they hadn't traded for Jenken earlier this offseason, it would have made a lot more sense.

I don’t disagree. I stated ‘should’ given the state of that roster.
I think the best fit for Chromiak would be Saginaw; and Peterborough, Saginaw, and Sudbury should all want Molnar.

I'm going to predict three solid wins to start the season this weekend. I have a feeling that people are going to lay off of the take that Kingston needs to make some big moves right away once things get started. The two imports are going to have more of an impact than people think. Here's another prediction. It wont take long for you to be shaking your head Beast and wondering why Ottawa gave up on Uronen.

One thing I'm really going to be paying attention to is to how Burns starts the season. He's one of my absolute favourites to watch on this team but I honestly scratch my head when I keep hearing about him being "an elite D man, one of the top D, etc." I have not seen that myself in the past three years. Hopefully another experience at Blues camp, signing, and getting the C will bring that out of him and he actually becomes that D man. It seems like he has just been declared that type of D bc he is "supposed to be." I want to see him show us all that he is, starting this weekend. He's the captain now and leadership starts from the top. Stay on the ice and get this team rolling Burnsy.

Going to be an exciting year!

You really do want to see Kingston have a big trade early though. It will help with seeding; and more importantly, Wakely is not with NB awaiting a trade. You most certainly do not want Wakely on the roster of Brampton or Oshawa.
