Kings Win 3-1; Boring Hockey Leads To Fourth Straight Win

I hope this season saved McBain's career. Even if we don't resign him, I hope other teams see his value and potential now.

He deserves it. Guys a NHL player and if he can play on our team why not someone else?

I thought it was a bit surprising that he hadn't already been signed.

He was terrible for the Sabres last year, after not doing so great the year before. But I agree, at only age 26 with a couple good seasons in his early 20's you would have figured someone would have taken a flier on him.

I'm happy he ended up with the Kings, he can make some mistakes in the defensive zone but he makes a nice outlet pass and makes good reads on when to jump into the play.

Nice solid win, good to see some unusual suspects get on the board. Also, from the GDT:

If she doesn't understand that Hockey is the #1 priority... especially with the Kings fighting for their playoff life at this point, she isn't the right one.

I actually think it's awesome. You can't get into a quality restaurant without waiting two hours on a Valentine's day Saturday night. So why bother? Hockey is ****ing awesome anytime and is a great and unique option to take a date to. And Trofoli is absolutely right: if she doesn't dig it, dump her and find one that appreciates this great game!

So tell me guys, how do you enjoy being single and alone forever? :biglaugh:

Seriously though, she understands fine, and I agree going to a restaurant on valentines day is insanity. We actually ended up hanging out with my friends at their house and did some wine tasting and ate good food. Seeing as how we're getting married in a few months, I'm pretty certain she's the one. ;)

Congratulations!!!!!

I'm loving the single life, for the time being.... needed a break from the crazies I was dating...

I got the right one this time around. Third time the charm. Been married and divorced twice, will marry this one early next year. Dated upwards of 50 women the past five years, 40 of them ending after the 1st date. It's not easy to find a companion when your older. Finally found the right one; we've been together since late 2013.

And she gets the game. She's been learning it and enjoys it; take her most times when I go. She does chastise me for spending way too much time here; she calls it "that BBS." LOL

My GF loves the Kings too, so it's pretty sweet. Her favorite part of the game are the fights, lol. On Saturday we watched the first period and then went to a fancy dinner and kept checking the score on my phone.

What's cool is that I met her later in the day after watching our first banner being raised and she was with me to watch the second one go to the rafters.

I was a pretty easy date for myself.

Nice!

My wife is a Ducks fan.
Separate TVs for games, but she will cheer the Kings if they are not playing the Ducks. We got married before theDucks existed so I didn't know she would turn on me

At least you're not going in knowing that, my girl doesn't like the Kings sight unseen. I'm hoping with enough games she'll come to her senses and break that bad habit.:naughty:

I lucked out. My wife and I were watching a ducks game and she patiently waited until the period was over and asked... "Who is the moron who kept whining about the penalty call???? Does this guy always beat a dead horse? "

Lol even she can't stand the homer....

My wife hates him as well. She likes Daryl Evans best.

One my first dates, honest to god, back when my wife of 12 years was not even my girlfriend was a Kings prospect game. Way back in 2000 or 2001. It's how she became a fan.

Hockey. More then a game. ;)

My wife and I first date was a Kings-Ranger game at the forum way back in 74 and believe it or not she hung around for the last 41 years, dragged her to about 30 games a year in the beginning because ladies got in for 2.25 and you could normally move down then after smoking a joint up in the top rows lol, it got so ad she still refuses to go now that we have great seats in 205, says that is what the four kids are for......and just so you don't think she hates it she had to make desert for the road games to be had during the second intermission of all the playoffs in 2012, only strange if it doesn't work
