Listening to Dean right there, I'm actually surprised he brought Sutter back with he amount of failure at the end of the season.

He always says that. It means he was "Their #1 pick in 2014" , not the #1 overall pick.

For example, Joe Pavelski would be ..

"San Jose's #7 pick in 2003"
 
So pretty much only ones missing from this game are Quick, Doughty, Carter, and Pearson. I know those are our big guns but if the rest is made up of the guys in this game we are in serious trouble. Our depth is brutal.

And Gaborik if you counting injured players.

Edit: Purcell wasn't in the line up either.

LaDue has been really impressive. Sending him to Ontario to at least start the season is probably the smart move. But it's frustrating.

I think Kempe makes the roster. The Kings are in dire need of his speed. Plus he's been very impressive. Sutter doesn't throw around those kind of compliments to a rookie with no NHL experience very often.


Zatkoff looked awful. 70+ games for Quick.

Dowd is showing the signs of a very solid bottom 6 center.


I'm optimistic about this season. We may have the talented and cheap youth to compliment our veterans that we've needed.

Fail on my part meant to put Kopi and forgot Gabs but still Gabs is out for a bit I just don't see the depth on this team. We need Brown to have a monster comeback and that's a big if. Clifford, Stone hands, Nolan, king, rookies, rookies, rookies. I've said this for many years aside from Kopi and an injured Gabs, we've got absolute no skills. Grinders and checkers that put up 0 to 5 goals throughout the line-up for the entire year aint gonna cut it. We've gotten older and slower, and no good lookin prospect in the farm. I'm gonna get grilled but I just don't see who is gonna score goals besides two or three of the top guys.

Dude, half our team was out of the lineup. The top half too. Chill.
