King certainly has become irrelevant over the past two seasons. Others have stood out, like Andreoff and Latta and Mersch. King is just there and a healthy body.

You really can see Forbort, Gravel & LaDue moving ahead of him on the depth chart very quickly.

Not watching the game, but in general, Dwight King is willing to go to the front of the net. (Remember him sitting on Hank?) The problem is he's too slow to make a beeline there - more like a slothline.

I like ol' Dwight, but if he's not effective in the more up-tempo style the Kings seem to be moving towards, then he's a prime candidate to move.. He might have some of that Stanley Cup cachet still clinging to him, and his contract's not bad, so if there was ever a time to ditch him....

Especially when they have possession long before he does. He did this all season and even in the playoffs.
