Can we bench Fraser and put in TT? He hasn't done anything wrong but he's unimportant. I think it'd make us better.

What's your 4th line then? Tt has to be in top 6 or he won't be effective. He shouldn't play on carters line either.

I'm not worried, 5 games in 8 days, 3 wins, all in regulation. The scoring will bounce back and the effort was there. It happens.

Can Toffoli play center? Didnt we try this failed experiment with Lotki?

I think it's a matter who the better position player is.

Aren't Nolan and king both natural centers playing wing. You set them up on the fourth C. And that option opens a wing and with Fraser out you have a couple big bodies out with toffoli. It can work it just takes a bit of shuffling .

Who sits and what's the lines? He doesn't work on the 2nd line with him and carter both looking to shoot. In my opinion I would sit king, put Williams with carter and Richards and put the kid with Kopi. Lines will still have a sniper a play maker and someone along the boards to free the puck.

yea his line didnt work.....
his first game he had multiple chances and set up carter on chance
second game he had a goal.

Was toffoli really that bad on Richards line? His first game was a bit rough but he had a goal and an assist plus was +2. It was his first three NHL Games. I still think they could give that line another chance. Penner hasn't exactly improved it.

No he wasn't but he wasn't hitting or pressuring, but thats an easy fix it will take a couple games more for him to get it down.

But if we keep it like that I'd like a
Clifford-Nolan-Toffoli

Two big bodies that can cycle and toffoli can shoot which Fraser can't.

Or Interchange King and Nolan to left wing on the 3rd and it'd still be good.
Grinder-grinder- Sniper . It's a good mix.

If we want to get the top lines changed with toffoli then bump down Penner to 3rd, Williams 2nd, toffoli first.

We have options.

I feel Fraser brings the least to the team, even if he is good at PK, so is Toffoli.

Another game getting shut out just flat out sucks. I can understand running into a hot goalie who flat out stole the game against Dallas, but this game was a different story. I think the most dangerous chances they had was short handed. All the other chances were really not that dangerous at all. And the final 5 minutes it was if nobody knew how to make a tape to tape pass. Just frustrating to watch.

His goal was on the PP and outside of the couple of chances they were one and done. I'm not faulting tt at all, but those 3 on the ice at same time has no one that can control the puck along the boards.

I want to see tt back in there, but the lines have to be changed for more balance.

Clifford-Nolan-Toffoli

I stopped reading there. Just bench Penner or demote him to the 3rd line - you know, where he actually plays well, then put Toffoli on the 1st line and move Williams to the 2nd. I would ditch Fraser altogether and just have Lewis be the 4th center with Nolan and Clifford. I don't see why Sutter doesn't give Richardson a chance. The guy usually brings in energy when he's returned to the lineup and King/Nolan aren't exactly guys you have to absolutely have in your lineup. Oh yeah, and you might want to put Drewiske in too.

I think Tofolli can provide a spark. But try sitting Penner or King instead. Get the feeling Sutter doesn't want to mess with 3rd line though.

Why sit King? He played well tonight and his line hasn't been a problem. It's the other three lines that fluctuate from good to great to bad to invisible.

I wouldn't mess with the third line, that line is dominate when they are on the ice.

You can't expect those guys to score every game.

King/Stoll/Lewis has been very good.

The top six has not been very good for four periods of hockey, and it shows with a 0-2 record.

This. They scored just one goal, and it came from a rookie being out of position. Yes it was enough today but its not a team to be feared in the playoffs.

Seeing as the Kings handled them in the playoffs. I wouldn't be too worried. But, I know it's different every time. If the Kings don't get Greene and Mitchell back before that time, I can see the Canucks maybe taking over. It's not like the Canucks outplayed the Kings. They just happen to get the right bounce. Kings had plenty of chances. I'm not worried. It's once their defensive game steps away is when I will start to panic a bit. I don't see that happening anytime soon though.

That's two games we lost to the Canucks and looked pretty well handled in both...it's not the end of the world but I still look at them as a measuring stick. Makes me a little concerned and they are not even any where near Chicago or the Ducks this year.

I guess I didn't see how the Kings were well handled by the Canucks today. Schneider and Quick both came up with some big saves and territorially the Kings had the edge.

I would be very comfortable seeing the Canucks again in the playoffs. Over a 7-game series the Kings would wear that team down.

The boys sure do like to make it hard on themselves.

Four points they could have banked, tired Dallas team, banged up Nucks team.

Came away with ZERO points.....

Kings like to make the playoff's the hard way. :P

We seem to still be struggling a bit with cohesion in a few areas. It will get there. MR is playing hurt and the team is trying to keep things quite about it. I understand that on one level but not all the way. We are the deepest team in the league when it comes to C's and I would rather MR get a couple of games to get things together than watch him play at less than great during the reg season.

Our D is looking good and the team took DS's limiting the amount of shots speech to heart but it has cost us in the way that our O is working. We still are missing MG and WM but that should change.

Were still looking really good and have time to get it right but it is time to start putting things into position so that we can be playoff ready.

You are not going to score on NHL goalies, if you let them see the puck.

None of those shots were from prime scoring areas ether. The Kings just took what the Nucks gave them.

Didn't even try to attack the dangerous parts of the ice.

That was a lazy game all around.

Well, the one from Kopitar in the first was on a beauty drive to the net but Williams decides he wasn't to go to the only place around the net he shouldn't be and blocks Kopi's shot. ;)

Penner was stoned by Schneider twice in a row right in front of the net. I'd call that the quality scoring area. Lewis' shorthanded opportunity on the pass from Richards was also a quality chance. Schneider was the difference.

Ellerby had another strong defensive game. He's played well on the PK too.

The top six isn't getting it done right now. All have gone cold at once. Very young defense has only given up 3 goals in 2 game and the kings have zero points. The kings need to start getting these games to OT.

My guess would be the game against the flames [?] when he got hit from the side at the blueline and went off the ice not looking too good.

Noticed the Kings have strayed away from their physical game of late. While the possession time is there inside the o-zone, they're not banging bodies and punishing dmen.

The Kings weren't exactly annihilating the conference last year either. The important thing is to get in, after that, anything can happen.
