GDT: Kings vs Avs 10/02/2014

Was last night's game filmed in any respect? (I know it wasn't televised or streamed). Just wondering if there's any highlight video available, I'd love to see Weal's shootout winner.

man oh man, was too busy being happy to realize what a bag of dicks Hanzal was being there. I mean, he came unglued all series, but in about 10 seconds, he slashed Richards' feet and crosschecked him in the back of the head, took a good run at voynov, slashed carter, and either speared or whacked Penner high before he scored. Commence tears, it's beautiful.

Edit: in fact if he wasn't so busy looking for blood he would have been in position and defended that whole sequence easily. It's so nice watching our team just flat out rattle the opposition when they're on.

I still stand by my position that Hanzal, Doan, and Smith should have gotten some form of discipline for classless all of them acted in that, as well as the Cryotes organization should have been fined. The entire team came unglued after the Roszival hit, Hanzal starts running and swinging at everyone, Smith takes a blatant swing at Richards then goes after the ref stick raised, then Dr. Shane Doan gets on his soapbox in the handshake line, and diagnoses Rosie with a blown out knee postgame, and to top it all off Tippett blames the refs for the lost post game.

I haven't seen any footage of Weal's goal. The only video I have found is this Colorado news stations highlights of the game. They do show Quick stopping a flurry of attempts and give him high praise.

Really Associated Press? "COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Jordan Neal scored the decisive goal in a shootout to give the Los Angeles Kings a 2-1 exhibition victory over the Colorado Avalanche at the World Arena on Thursday night."

Several news stations got it wrong. The local CBS station, to their credit, got it right. Jon Rosen posted the game sheet here. You can see that the game sheet changed Weal's name to Neal, so that's where the error originated.

Jordan Neal had a good night, being named 2nd star and all. ;)

Rosival was clearly trying to get a major call against Brown. I imagine one would know the difference if your knee was blown out or if you had a damn charley horse on your thigh. He tried to sell an injury. The best part was him being helped off the ice and he plants his blown out leg for support as he steps off the ice.

As quickly as they climbed out of mediocrity they fell back into it. What a ****hole team.

Love the way Martin Hanzal plays the game, though. Too bad he's hurt all the time.

A long time ago I said Kopitar was a poor man's Malkin, and Hanzal was a poor man's Kopitar.

Hanzal is a fool, though. Doesn't have what it takes to be a number one center in this league IMO.

Pretty awesome. Stoll, Brown, and Quick were clutch when they needed to be, and that was a really nice move by Weal, good hands. Dunno if I like King being a regular on the shootout though.

I'm not sure if he will be. Remember both Kopitar and Gaborik didn't play.

The wife and i were at that game, was hoping the ones listening at home on the radio could hear us trying to get a Go Kings Go chant going in the third period. There were plenty of Kings fans that showed up for the game and the cup photo op two days earlier.. The highlight besides the win was the Sharks fan who was offering to kiss a Kings fans sweater ie The Kings logo for a free beer and photo's of the event should be posted soon..lol

Remember it was Jones, not Quick in the shootout. Jones played the third period.
