Exactly. It’s not remotely hard, it just takes one person to actually bother. I think they get a lot of undeserved stick at times but not having a stream, even if it’s without commentary is indefensible.
They could just link it with the radio feed. If it's working.

That is Much easier said that done. They are nearly impossible to sync.
It ends up being like watching a karate movie form the 80's where they dubbed in English doesn't match up with the mouth movements

IF it’s working 😂

Exactly that though, it’s very trivial. Its not that difficult for someone with even limited IT understanding and they MUST have staff that are employed as IT professionals. For them it should be a 10 minute exercise, tops.

To sync exactly I agree but you’d be able to figure out the delay and it Is possible to delay the feed by a couple of seconds. The delay should be consistent (assuming a consistent source) so it wouldn’t need setting up over and over.

Even just setting it up with the feeds out of sync would be an improvement on what they had.

How dare you fake fans complain about not having access to Kings hockey? You all just want to complain and be miserable.

Who cares that other teams stream practices, and all we get are typed up synopses? Some people don't know how to read. Count your blessings.

Who cares how all the other teams do things? Go cheer for the Ducks, you whiner!

Nope. Only a certified document signed by Luc Robitaille will suffice.

Edit: And it can't be Red Wings Era Robitaille either!
Is a 1980s signed Topps/O-pee-chee card considered a certified document? For the Luc haters, he did spell his name correctly. See, he is smart ...or he looked at the spelling on the card. 🤓

My guess is the Ontario arena’s video streaming production is linked to the ahl deal. So, with it being an nhl preseason game, no live stream.

blame late stage capitalism for all your streaming issues

It’s not absurd that relatively expensive decisions are filtered through an ROI analysis for a business.

To stream a Kings game, preseason or not, requires an NHL production, regardless the facility. If you are away from Staples, you don’t have BSW equipment on-site. Cost for a one off would be close to $125k.

With that game providing negative profit as is, and barely written off as an AHL promo night, their is no justification for more expense.

The folks who would tune in are die hards, long since converted. So, it’s a straightforward business decision.

To be angry or frustrated is to be naive or have self interest. Its believing that the franchise is first class and committed at every possible level to greatness. It’s why lip service to building a championship is to be doubted.

You don't need a production truck to stream the games. And it's not a Bally's game, so no, you don't need their equipment or personnel. They already had in arena cameras and operators for what is shown on the jumbotron. And they've done low budget streams before, in particular during the 2020 AHL season. If you recall, the Kings also streamed their scrimmage which I also believe was in Ontario during last year's training camp.

Other teams are streaming games when not on TV. The Ducks just did it.

Struggling to find what was so cost prohibitive, especially relative to how much money the Kings spend elsewhere.

Unless the idea is that sort of outdated philosophy that you have to essentially black out the at home viewing experience in favor of selling more tickets. Which seems dumb given the game was essentially out of town if you actually live in LA. And just generally speaking it's a terrible marketing strategy and makes your most loyal fans upset.
