Seeing various reports that the Iafallo-Byfield-Kaliyev stood out in today's scrimmage is a positive sign.

Yup, it is the most important line this season. You need a top 9 to be a truly competitive team.

There will be some goal regression from Danault and Kempe, but Fiala figures to clean a lot of that up. There will be some goal regression from the 4th line as well, they will need for this line to clean that up and then some, and you have the makings of a good forward group.

The good news is there is almost no way that Iafallo or Byfield can be as bad as last year offensively, it’s almost an impossibility. If you can get a combined 110-120 points from this trio the Kings will be good again.

Are the Kings the Empire or the Rebellion?

I'm feeling good about QB. I say he breaks out as a player and as he gets comfortable, his numbers go up.
His numbers will be somewhat limited, as 3C and maybe some nights, not getting 15 TOI, but I feel confident
he establishes himself this year. He looks more mature, more developed and has put in the work.
Coming in at top shape and 225 lbs will help. He looked a little scrawny last year and could be manhandled
more than he should have. I think he's stronger and more resilient already. He's talking about holding the puck longer and being strong on the puck. He knows he was not yet there,
last year. AI on his line, will help give him a player that may not be the best finisher, but AI can play and
has more experience and credentials, than anyone the Kings have had on a third line since the Cup years.
I'm not the biggest AI fan, but that's AI on line 1 and PP1. He's not quite Cup team level, in that role.
But put him on line 3 and watch that line have some jam and his presence and play will go a long way there.

And if Arty sticks there (or Kupari) I feel either of them are on the rise as well and will be that much better this year. If it's Arty, I know he'll get more chances, with QB and AI out there with him. Arty's all around play has been on a continuous rise, since he's played. He will not peak for another 2-3 years...but I'm going to enjoy the
ride and that starts with 10 PPG and 20+ goals this year. I will not try to estimate QB's numbers, but they will
be respectable and it's just the beginning.

October 2nd on Bally Sports West
October 4th on Bally Sports SoCal (Ducks channel)
October 6th on Bally Sports West
October 8th on Bally Sports SoCal
This is shocking. I historically remember 1, maybe 2 games each season.

I wonder if this is partially because the Kings' contract is likley up soon and Bally's in trying to keep them on
"Well in to next decade" tells me that the deal is probably up in 2024-26.
Los Angeles - The Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Kings and FOX Sports West today announced a new long-term television rights agreement that ensures Fox Sports will remain the Kings’ exclusive local television partner well into the next decade.

Also the Kings Vegas preseason game is on NHL Network I'm told but haven't bothered to look it up to confirm.

And I'm not sure the 2024-26 window is accurate........

I am not sure it is accurate either, but "well in to next decade" tells me that that window is likely.

I would have 2026-29 as "most of next decade"

Edit- if this is true, damn I'm good

A second article now mentions 2024

There was an article on The Athletic that the parent company of Bally Sports is potentially facing bankruptcy (even with their streaming service about to launch). There was some speculation either the teams themselves (like the Capitals have done) or the NHL might be interested in buying local rights.

Indeed

I also think the Bally's asking $20+ dollars a month is ridiculous. Most of these streaming services are currently offering large discounts because the demand what not what they thought it was

Having Fagemo up with Moore and Danault while Arvy is hurt makes a ton of sense.

Day 2 Notes - Offensively Minded Scrimmage + Danault update, Edler on re-signing, Fagemo's opportunity - LA Kings Insider

“I think we can play with probably a lot of guys, but a guy like Sammy, he’s not only super talented, but he works super hard and that complements our game a lot,” Moore said. “We always want to be the guys who are the hardest workers on the ice, you can’t do it without that. Sammy’s been a good fit.”

Fagemo noted that Arvidsson is a player he watches a lot of video of, which gives him a bit of insight into how that line plays, and what a third member should contribute. Fagemo believes that the approach of the line fits well with the approach he takes to his own game as well.

“I think their style is just to compete so hard and they have a lot of speed and skill too,” Fagemo said today. “I think that fits my game too and it’s felt great so far.”

Damn. Anyone know how Kurrilino is doing with this news?

Fagemo and Arvidsson are similar in style. Shoot first, ask questions later. Maybe Fagemo’s pace is not quite as frenetic as Arvidsson’s.

The Kings should try Arvidsson with Lizotte some time. Just for shits and giggles.

It’s also cool to read that TMac was discussing who might fit best with Danault. I’m guessing centers like Kopitar and Danault will pretty much always be consulted, but yeah, good to hear.
