I personally like Nolan a lot better. He is bigger, stronger, can hit harder and fights more often than Stewart.

Agreed for sure, I think Stewart will be waived once Anze is back, but thats jmo.
Seems like the idea. Honestly...even without Stewart..a 4th and a 6th are pretty good return for a guy who hardly played. Especially with as good as Lombardi is at late round drafting.
By the way Ducks just invited PIERRE-LUC LETOURNEAU LEBLOND to camp. They now have Staubitz, Leblond, possibly Rosehill (AHL contract), Bodi, and Souray in camp. Way tougher than the Kings.

In all sincerity Westgarth is a decent hockey player. He's been put into the goon position but he could turn out to be a decent all around 4th liner. He could do more then just skate around for a few minutes and get into a fight.
We just have way to many big strong guys with far more upside that need icetime.

Little known fact. Kings wanted to draft Anthony Stewart in 2003, and were miffed when Florida moved up and selected Stewart. Which is why the Kings called a time out at the draft. They were unprepared and had no clue how to react to having the player they were about to select get plucked away from them. So they mulled it over and took a gamble with Brian Boyle.

None of those guys are scary fighters, save for PLL and he won't play. Boudreau wasn't exactly enforcer friendly in Washington.
Nolan and Clifford are fine against all of them except PLL.

Dude Stewart was a 40 point player (14g) for the Thrashers.....
This guy can actually play hockey.

Of note, even if Stewart gets waived and clears, we will still be on the hook for $100K against the salary cap, something that likely factored into the trade for Carolina. It's not a huge amount but we will have to factor it in.
I think (based on CAR fans comments and the Boucher trade) that the real money paid to Stewart has more to do with it than the cap hit...
