Bern, I like you, but this saying needs to be launched into the sun. Teaching, especially now, is one of the most exhausting, difficult professions you can have. Anyone who thinks it's an easy gig should go ahead and sign up to do it, as I understand there's a national shortage at the moment.

I apologize.
It was not meant as a slight to teachers.
It was intended as those who have knowledge, plus still have ability to execute, do so.

It is not an easy gig. It is a often a thankless job. Professor, you have my thanks.

Appreciated. And to be clear--I wasn't talking about me. My current job (college prof) isn't nearly as difficult as my old job (HS teacher). The folks in the k-12 trenches during the pandemic have been freaking super-human. Part of my current job is to prepare English education majors for teaching the subject (I inherited that class because I am the only one in the department with experience in secondary ed), and I have to resist the urge to open every class with one of these:

I didn't say or insinuate this is official. In recent threads clearly LA wants big LD + high end scoring. If breadman did not have a nmc, this is a discussion. As it is it is not. But I pointed it out b'c LA clearly insisting on not merely quality, but only higher end pieces.

No, it wouldn’t be. At all.

True none of us can speak for NYR office, only give our own views.
That said, I have said before that after exhausting
Strome + Geo + Hajek + Nemeth + remove Hank 1.5 buyout cap to = 11m
for zib + Fox
we then still need scratch $ for extending LaF + Kakko,
and if we consider Goodrow off the table, we then have basically only Lindgren available for trade to recover cap.

They don’t need to move that much cap.

nice to be valued and wanted, but
1. I am no one's property
2. People are reviewing my theory on how to restructure the international monetary system that would help solve several world problems.
So while $ worth may be waiting for that chick to hatch, my upside is way more than you have pegged.
This is an underrated post lol.

Am I the only Kings fan thinking that Kupari is an overpayment for Robertson? I wouldn't do that, no way. And Byfield for K'Andre Miller? No f***ing way lol

Maybe it's just me but if anything I was going to suggest it's an underpayment and we'd at least add a late pick.

But I don't know where the rest of the fever-dream Byfield trade stuff is coming from, this thread took some drugs really quickly a page or so ago

You know where it’s coming from alright and he doesn’t represent HFRangers.

Wrong. OP did not limit discussion beyond teams LAK-NYR, Also I responded to someone else bringing up the subject.

This is unbelievable

Quote from OP:
"I would prefer a real 1vs1 hockey trade, not those weird 7 teams involved back and forth retention
and conditioned pick mess, that talks about everyone but Robertson"

I just don't know what to say anymore

While there is consensus it is fair, it is not clear NY should do that; arguably value of keeping Rob outweighs OP deal.

Not sure i can follow here.
This is a make believe NHL trading forum. What we are doing here has absolutely nothing to do with reality or organization agreement.
Both parties just came to the conclusion that this deal would benefit both sides.

If the Kings or Rangers organization should do it, matters not at all since it's just fans talking.
I can't believe i have to type this out

I hear you, and I see the +s on both sides, which several I'm sure will ignore.

IF LA were to go there, it would have to be BLOCKBUSTER CITY
KAM
LINDGREN
ROBERTSON
KRAVTSOV

for

Byfield, 2 2nds and 2 3rds, something like that.

We would have to immediately rely on righty Nils L playing off hand, w/lefties Jones and Reunanen.

That would be a huge gamble but if Byf is real deal, might be worth it.

Don't you ever realize that literally none of these crazy deals you ever propose get done? I'm wondering why you even waste the time. Honestly, your efforts would be better spent writing some fantasy fiction novel or blog. That's effectively akin to the deals you've been proposing on here for more than a decade.
