His edge work certainly isn't an issue. Despite the stumble when jumping around the D, this is impressive control on his skates.

Is Kubalik still a Kings prospect? He looks to be doing real well in the Czech republic and was named to their Olympic team.
I'm interested to know what you think the upside of Eyssimont will be? He seems to be having a great season on one of the top teams in the NCAA. Does his game project to the NHL?
Third line NHL Center. Seems to be your Lunch Pail type of guy.

Is vilardi ahl eligible next year?
I hadn't thought about it before but I wonder if that's another reason it's suggested he'll be in the NHL.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but I believe there are a few reasons a player is kept in the minors: to develop skills or to solidify his own game.
In what little I've seen, Vilardi has not shown a strong aptitude for the defensive side of the game. In that regard, he could still benefit from playing in juniors.
But Vilardi's strongest understated trait is his decisiveness. There's no hesitation to him when he sees an opportunity, which is why I think he has solidified his game. The biggest transition that younger players have when coming up at the higher level is the hesitation and tentativeness they display. Which is why a player like Brodzinski continues to struggle at the NHL level despite his skillset.
tl;dr version: I think it's related to him not being AHL eligible, but they feel he has the decisiveness of an NHL player already.
Interesting to hear that he's poor on defensive but has excellent hockey IQ, where is the bridge he's not connecting?
Is it effort or just poor defensive awareness?
Always interests me to hear players with really good hockey IQ be poor defensively.
