So Kopitar finished regular season 20 points ahead of next best Kings player and 29 points as third best King player, his +\- is +13 better than next best Kings player, he is best scorer and has most assist... :yo:

I really think he could use some more offensive help from others in PO...

I just wanted to say that was a cool gesture by your organization to honor Selanne. Goodluck against San Jose. :thumbu:

Guess I shouldn't watch this one. On the DVr eh

Saw Ot and SO at the hotel bar. Great pace! But pretty much worst case scenario result which is exactly what I have come to expect at the end of seasons the last few years so honestly all I could do is lolllll as soon as I saw smith pelly line up for the shootout

Richards has not looked good for awhile and I don't think he'll all of a sudden turn it on in the playoffs. We are a one center team again and Kopi cannot do this alone. Carter has to go back to center but who's gonna play with him two rookies don't make me feel good.

HA!

I couldn't watch the game and got home and turned on the TV right as Smith-Pelly started skated to get the puck and immediately knew it was over.

I think Stoll is good.

I don't know why they don't try Pearson Stoll Carter

This game was just the start of our dissapointment.

Boston will shut out Jersey.
We wont make it past the first round.
Kopitar wont win the Selke.
Gaborik will leave the Kings for big $.

And why?

Because of the Detroit Freakin Goal.

I felt optimistic about the Kings chances a week ago, but now Sutter is once again making one of his best players a complete non-factor.

The second line was embarrassing again tonight, MR should not be playing 17 minutes a night and playing on a line that is expected to score.

I understand he may be worried about two young kids as Carter's wingers, and that is fine, in that case go with Brown-Carter-Toffoli, just for the love of god get Carter away from Richards and into a situation where he can succeed. I don't think we beat SJ if Carter is as invisible as he has been the past couple of games.

Because Stoll isn't a second line center, period. The idea that since someone is good/decent in their current role means they should/could be moved-up is ridiculous. Stoll was a bad second line player years ago, and isn't as good now as he was then. Leave Stoll where he belongs

Okay, Just answer this then. Who is doing better Richards or Stoll?

I hope Carter comes back to life in the playoffs. He looked like he ran out of gas in the last 10 game stretch, only netted 2 goals and 2 assists in that span, and half of those points came in one game against Phoenix.

Don't know what's up with Richards but he seems so slow and weak. I hope the physical nature of playoff hockey against the Sharks wakes him up. He had 0 points in his last 9 games. That's the production you'd expect to see from a Colin Fraser, not Mike Richards. He had 5 points in the 7-game series against the Sharks last playoffs and had 12 points in 15 playoff games.

What's astonishing is that he had 32 points in 48 games last season and follows that up with 41 points in 82 games this season. The only positive thing to say about him is that he's been relatively healthy and appeared in every regular season game the past two seasons. But he's regressed and slowed down considerably, to the point that you start to ponder if he's going to play like a #2 center behind Kopitar going forward.

Who cares about Stoll vs. Richards. The truth is, neither one of them is a 2nd line center in 2014. Stoll may have been in 2006 and Richards was in 2012, but in 2014 they both belong in the bottom six, like they were a couple of weeks ago.

The Kings with their current roster have a massive hole at the 2nd line center spot yet Sutter continues to shove Richards down our throats and keeps Carter at RW despite having Williams and Toffoli already on the rw.

It makes absolutely zero sense.

Who would you put there instead? Trevor Lewis? Carter is terrible at center. His line, when he plays there, can't get out of it's own end. So great, Richards and Stoll suck, but what's the alternative? The roster is set for the rest of the year, so Sutter has to deal with what he's been given.

This is what I want to see in the playoffs.

Gaborik-Kopitar-Williams
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
King-Richards-Brown
Clifford-Stoll-Lewis

Doughty-Muzzin
Voynov-Regher
Martinez-Mitchell
