Lucic is having a really poor season as well.

You think they'd do a Brown for Lucic trade? :naughty:
Brown's contract is shorter.

Not sure what my favorite ****-up of the night was.
-Muzzin charging ahead leaving a rookie in his first NHL game and Toffoli on defense.
-Muzzin standing there at the point watching a line change as some guy casually skates to about 20 feet worth of space and gets a breakaway.
-Sutter putting Brown out on a 4v4 then the team can't get the puck out of the D-zone with complete control because Brown is garbage.

Too many top players, are no longer that.

Toffoli is just getting back, Pearson is not exactly lighting the world on fire, he may score 35-40 points this season. Kopitar's goal scoring is MIA, Gabo is a 35 year old forward and looks/plays like it. Muzzin/A-Mart decided to have a terrible season to coincide with Quick gone, and rookies in the lineup.

Carter is a beast, Budaj is giving his all, Trevor Lewis is having a good season.

LaDue made some good plays, made some bad ones. I guess average start for a rookie.

Sutter gave LaDue 1:45 on the PP and 16 mins of game time, not bad.

I would like to see:

Muzzin/Doughty
Forbort/Gravel
A-Mart/McNabb

Get A-Mart back to playing simple, get Muzzin back to his groove. Let Gravel/Forbort chew up the ice.

Shaw drills Stephan head first into the boards, Milbury "Not much contact there" as he skates off not knowing what day it is.

It's hard to go 3 games in a row with out a regulation goal. Did that even happen in 2012?

I don't know about in a row.

But Quick lost a record 21 games, with only allowing 1 goal or less in 2012.

It's why Quick, LITERALLY dragged the Kings to the play-offs that year.

This team seems to be unable to chase the game, and they pretty much deflate when they get behind on a bad goal at the start. Mental weakness that shows up on the road more often than at home IIRC. They get down one or two and give up for the goalie in net it seems, at least tonight...but they don't have the confidence to score once down either. Dunno. It's hard to learn when offense, defense, AND goaltending are all off.

I'd say burn the tapes but I'd just lock these guys in a dark room and force them to watch both games from start to finish with commercials.

If this doesn't change soon, the NHL needs to start making designated safe spaces at the games for distraught fans.

Carter's good an all, but he's just not scoring 6.

Again,

The Kings have infused some youth in the line-up. Also remember that Pearson/Toffoli are only 24 with less than 300 NHL games, and both are not consistent at this point in the season.

Doesn't help that Muzzin/A-Mart/Kopitar/Gabo are all having just terrible seasons with consistent play. We are getting everything out of Budaj, you can't expect more out of the guy.

Just some thoughts.
