Yeah he’s more suited to make those individual dashes out but right now you can’t argue with how in sync everything is.

So smooth

He's playing the kind of defense that inspires confidence that you can trust him to play tough minutes against the other team's best players. If he keeps improving he can be the Leafs top guy soon.

Also I'm liking Timmins so far. Looking pretty solid and can jump into the offense too. If he keeps playing well I hope he can stay in the lineup as a regular. Who knows maybe this is a guy that Dubas gave up nothing for that can become something pretty good for the Leafs.

Some of that is outdated reputation and some of it is perception of game play. With his skills he’ll never have to look like he’s trying super hard. But yeah sometimes he can be a little casual.

I've never seen a team so underwhelming, to on a dime turn it around with the same coach and to think in their amazing Nov/Dec run, they are 16th GF/G and 3rd in GA/G. Scary thought, they are not scoring at a pace that this team can score at.

Curious to what you mean by soft?

He blocks shots, goes to the front of the net,, uses his body well to shield the puck( today he owned Kopitar in front of the net to allow Bunting to have a chance). Is he soft because he doesn't fight?

Lazy seems to be a thing of the past. Not really a passenger this year.
