My only question is;

Are we that slow or are the Kings that fast? They seem to have gotten to every loose puck that period.

Overall, that was a brutal effort. Gotta pick it up quick in the 2nd.

Kings are hard working teams so...we look like snails atm because they are just beating us in effort and rush iMO. both goals were they used their inside edge to rush and get the goal.

Watching the game, the leafs have 6 shots. They haven't gotten a lot of chances on net, meaning they haven't played well. The dangerous scoring chance which never got on net was Bunting's 2 on 1

Kings have more shots and hit a post as well.

If your watching the game, as you said in your original comment, there is no real logic behind thinking the leafs are controlling the play over the 1st period

They have controlled play, they have given up some bad chances off the rush, but not much else.

They're not. That was one of the worst periods the Leafs played in awhile. No clue what notbias is on about.

Ok, Matthews and Marner obviously got caught in traffic and missed the first period. Understandable. The traffic in Toronto is horrendous. They should be there to start the 2nd second period so, hopefully, injecting then into the lineup will give this team a spark here in the 2nd.

sandin needs to learn to be a defencemen. He’s playing like he’s Barrie without the shot. Everytime he sees a puck battle, he takes it no matter what. He needs to learn to back off a bit. He needs to tone it down a bit
