Wagner can go down as he is bringing little to the table as he is not an NHL player right now. Blake also stocking the cupboard with depth so he can move chips at the deadline and fill in spaces if needed. I mean, how long can you play Clifford in the 2nd line and Thompson on the PP and not be extremely annoyed.

The Kings must be ready to deal some players....to take both Leipsic and Scherbak on.

3rd round Preds in 2012. Had massive numbers with the Portland Winter Hawks...in playoffs too.
If he cannot play in Vancouver, how can he play here? And Scherbak? And when Lewis, Hagelin ,Brodzinski and Kovy (or not) come back?

Interesting to see he outscored both Kapanen and Johnsson on the Marlies 2 seasons ago.
That's pretty impressive:::::

A lot of truth to this. Wagner and Rempal are not NHL players at this point. Leipsic and Scherbak provide marginal upgrades on both.

Sure, why not. Pretty good AHL numbers when he was with the Marlies a few years back and serviceable NHL player.

Give him a look.

Skills wise, Rempal is leaps and bounds better than Wagner, and much more skilled handling the puck than Luff. Rempal has a lot more upside, but is a brand new pro. He has a good shot and is very fast and agile, can move the puck with speed. Just needs more time to work on his coverage and positioning.

Kings are desperate for LW's, so this move makes a lot of sense. With Pearson gone and Hagelin injured for six weeks, you have Clifford on the 2nd line. Just horrible. None of the new guys up play LW, and the Russian picked up yesterday is an RW. It makes so much sense to move Kempe to LW, so Willie won't do it of course.

*whispers* I didn't even know he was waived.

But hey, we could have fielded an entire 4th line over the last 72 hours if they had picked up Zykov as well!

I'm all for young, cheap depth forwards to restock the system. Worst case scenario, they can go to Ontario, and their contracts are up soon if they're truly dreadful.

To replace Kovy in the lineup is my guess and/or send Rempal/Wagner down.

Amadio too.

People are overthinking that a player is getting traded. Any one of Wagner, Amadio and Rempal can get sent down. Its a good depth move

On one hand this move is found money if the player is good for the Kings, so hope springs eternal. Of course it could result in more stupidity by coach willie, so there’s a good chance we see less of him than Emerson Etem.

But if these waiver guys are better than the current prospects, what does it say when the rest of the leagues trash shoots to the top of the Kings depth chart.

Someone had time on their hands to make a Leipsic highlight reel. Nice hands, good skater, nice shot. Mostly AHL highlights, if not all.

So...by January 1 (if no more roster moves)

Adding: Leipsic, Scherbak, then adding: Kovalchuk, Lewis, Hagelin, Brodzinski, Vilardi. 7 forwards that the Kings did not have on team as of last night.
Of course, Vilardi may go back to juniors and Brodzinski probably to Ontario. Still, this is nucking futts.
