Last summer after signing RFAs and high profile UFAs more than half the league was at or over the cap and another8 were about $1M under. Only about 8 teams had any space.

I think it depends how LA plays to finish off the season.

He'd probably be given a higher dollar amount offer from LA than Tampa can give. Would also be a bit strange to go to a team like Florida that is very clearly outside the playoffs where as LA is 1 point from being #1 in the West currently.

Again not trying to Mr Negative. It was about more term - it was reported the money wasn’t the issue. I am quite sure Jarmo offered a higher dollar amount but wanted shorter term. We have over $15m in Cap-space and dollars in Columbus is more than dollars in LA.

I suspect since we missed out on Chychrun at the deadline Jarmo will circle back. We now have a hole in top 4 LD and nobody coming to fill that role for about 2-3 seasons. Which I think was the hesitancy to sign him long term and why the CBJ was interested in Chychrun.

Nobody knows the deal so its all speculation.

No if those guys are moved it’s for draft picks. Not two players that are downgrade. Those guys would be moved to open space for our youth and not guys we don’t need at all.

It depends how the Kings perform in the playoffs. If this team goes deep, they will try to bring the key players back that helped them. They will look for the "final" small pieces but probably at the expense(play time, roles etc...) of the younger prospects.

If they get bounced in first round, I would look for another major trade or acquisition with several redundant players leaving to free up cap room.

In reality, the cap will dictate what will happen roster wise in the off season.

The only player I see not coming back regardless of how the season ends is Edler.
