Kuz doesn't seem afraid to shoot the puck, and he's fast. i hope he doesn't turn out to be another Cliff Ronning situation.

He got what is now the teams 2nd best finisher for a 3rd round pick. Not bad, I’d have rather had Kuzmenko than Nyquist.

I feel like this could work (him and Kempe) but it could also be a disaster putting a player like this into this system. I feel like it’s a coin flip as to which way it goes.

Turcotte away from Kopitar was long overdue, Turcotte will be a real asset in the role he’s going to be playing now, where the offensive short-comings don’t matter as much. Him and Jeannot on the 4th line is going to be a strength vs most teams. Stick him at 4C, if he can develop an offensive game, move him up to eventually replace Danault, to many games at wing has likely hurt his potential as a C, he should not be at wing anymore.

You must be thinking of someone else. Kuzmenko is slow as f***.

I think given what could've happened, I think this deal is alright. 50% retained and for a 3rd round pick 2 years from now. For a low risk trade, I can live with that.

I am just happy we didn't deal any 1sts or 2nds and hopefully we have new gm in offseason and they are allowed to bring their own philosophy in and not be forced to be the same old same old.

Kuzmenko is a winger actually suited to Kopitar skating in mud. Could form 2/3 of the slowest line in the leauge if it weren’t for Kempe being able to burn.

Offense by attrition is Kopi’s game right now, and that doesn’t really suit Turcottes game. This move could actually work.

Maybe it's the highlight-video effect, but he doesn't look like a terrible skater. The stats say he doesn't have high-end burst speed, but that's not the same at all. His puck-handling looks high-end as does his wrist shot. Lots of scoring from the goal-mouth and slot.

lines from practice this morning.

This is without Kuz so he should slot in pretty well actually. In an ideal scenario this would mean Lewis is permanently in the press box but Hiller is an idiot and somehow keeps playing him. I agree with the sentiment that Turcotte needs to play a lesser role on the 3rd or 4th line, he won't be as exposed down there. Him and Kopi just aren't clicking. I'm glad the D pairs went back to the left-right shot format, already looks so much better.

Where are all the naysayers when I proposed Sprong and or Kuzmenko 2 LWingers/RightWingers that shoot right...Kuz could be deadly on the our pathetic PP...it needs all the help it can and now we have another weapon that just might stick if all goes well and having Gavrikov around sure helps big time...can't wait to see Kempe and Kuz unleash bombs Right/Left/Slot
