That’s not what was said…”loser” points was said. Both teams have always gotten a point after being tied after 60 minutes

Really, the extra point for winning in OT or SO is the issue
I'm not following. The bolded in not true. When games ENDED in a tie after OT, teams were awarded 1 point each.

Yes? But we are talking about when a team wins, its a 3 point game when it goes to OT. If you lost in OT back in the day you didn't get a point because you were tied after 60 minutes..

Another team on the outside looking in with slim and fast fading PO chances.

Happier with their effort today and that they didn't let one goal turn into two.

Better effort today and really happy with the way the kids played. Pretty much had their way with the Caps today.

FYI…the first year an NHL team had 100 points in a season was 1951.

Not saying that we are stellar, but you need some context here when you want to knock the team.
That was 75 years ago bro think my point Stands…

And I wasn’t knocking the team actually I’m sticking up for them for the nonsense being said every time they lose a game. Reminder that success doesn’t last forever so enjoy it

Speaking of appreciating things. Panarin 3 pts in his sleep tonight.

Gallant sucks.

Forwards don't develop here.

How many of you still don't agree that Panarin creates multiple high-end scoring chances every game? In a bad game he usually creates more high-end chances than has turnovers.

I think he might be a top 5 point generator for the Rangers over the last 50 years.

Rangers 3rd-line center is playing above the level of most 2nd-line centers.

Boston remains the only tean I can't envision beating.

He blew past Nemeth territory as soon as he stepped on NHL ice.
Not sure. I have never seen a worse dman cost a team like Nemeth cost us against Pitt in the first round last year. He was guaranteed to take 1-2 penalties and be directly responsible for a goal not even half way thru period number 1.

bruh... Harpur is on ice for a lot of our issues/GA. He goes into spectator mode in front, where his big doofy ass suppose to excel. If he's going to be this soft, there's no reason not to have Jones here.

It will be magnified if he's on the ice in the playoffs. These games mean little right now... but he's horrendous

You haven't seen Harpur in the playoffs yet, and our most likely matchup is the fastest team in the league.

Nemeth sucked in the playoffs but we went in knowing he was a regular and everyone was fine with it until the shit hit the fan. The team was not planning on replacing him. Even for his standards, it was an extraordinarily bad series, forcing us to put Braun in and play our third pairing guys on the weak side. It was more unforeseen than you're giving it credit for.

Harpur is a #7 and we're sitting here praying everyone's healthy, probably putting them in anyway if they can physically stand, and fully expecting a repeat of Nemeth if he does play, which was one of the worst series in Rangers history. My friends and I will be old men saying "man, remember Nemeth against the Penguins?!" and that type of historic performance is where the bar is set for Harpur just on another Wednesday.

Also @duhmetreE touches a great point which I just read; we're talking about Harpur now the way we talked about Nemeth, not against Crosby every night, not with all the chips on the line, not on national tv. Nemeth made us panic in the playoffs but Harpur is making people panic in basically exhibition games at this point.

You're preaching to the choir. He is by far our worst player and I have been pleading to give Jones a REAL chance since October. I'm just comparing his suckage level to Nemeth's suckage level.
And yes it is amazing how soft he is for a guy with that kind of size.

Yep that will be magnified in the playoffs for sure and hopefully we won't have to see that. Nemeth was beyond garbage and could barely pivot and make a move while a Penguins team skated circles around him. They both suck but I still think Nemeth is worse than Harpur but not by much.

First time this season where I had no idea there was a game on today, not that I would have woken up for it anyway...

Highlights looked pretty good and it was nice to see us back on the winners list

for sure and it's a valid point. Why I was all for LTIR'ing Lindgren to make sure he's a 100 percent. Right now he's important to slotting the defense the way it should be. I don't mind seeing Harpur play 20 plus minutes a night the rest of the way as long as he doesn't see the ice in the playoffs.

They're the same thing though. They bring nothing positive and a detriments
