Appealing they should be because of marketing.

When you create a brand in your country like Medveščak has done,
there 's no need for sprucing up an already recognizable logo.

Actually, nobody cares about the logo if the team isn 't winning.
Sure, you can make a stir up, with an explicit logo or one that offends somebody, but being appealing to the eye means jack ****.

Look at the soccer clubs.
Look at basketball clubs.
Look at NHL clubs(KHL is striving to be like it).

You have to be RECOGNIZED.
RECOGNITION comes with WINNING against BETTER COMPETITION.

Tastes vary.

I understand that some people don 't like Medveščak 's logo.
Some might even hate it.

But it 's useless to voice your frustrations about logo od 3rd world hockey country 's best team.

BTW, there are much, much worse logos than Medveščak 's.
Fingers crossed the logo stays the same.

Cheers,

Yes, I 'm honest, it is.

We don 't have a real infrastructure to speak of.
The one that we have, is nothing special.

Kids who want to make it must have rich parents, who can finance them playing somewhere abroad.

Our national team is well, nothing special.
Most of the players in the NT aren 't actual Croats.

Medveščak will help that the situation improves immensely and it already did.

As some of my countrymates said, the hockey schools have waiting lists.

Why?

Not enough rinks.

Medveščak can 't make 2 decent bottom 6 forward lines with some of our youth players.

Yes, just because the team is in the KHL, you 'd think it 's all fine and dandy in the home country but it isn 't.

When Medveščak (because our federation won 't) invests money into more rinks and quality coaches, plus boosts their so called scouting staff to be effective in the draft, where Medveščak will be a team that has 1:1:1 ratio (draftee:true Croatian:Crocan), then we will be in the 2nd world country class.

1st WCC in my book means having a national team made of true Craots who can contend with the best teams, and reguraly goes to Winter Olympics, World and European tournaments etc.

Cheers,

They had a summer camp in Norway in 1993. A small fox got under the wheels of the club bus when they were under way to Hamar. The animal was alive after the accident, so Metallurg's club doctor took it with him to heal. The fox died in a couple of hours after Metallurg won the final match of the pre-season competition.

Does this fit under the brands category? :D

http://www.24sata.hr/galerija/sport...onzora-medo-iskace-i-iz-pastete-201747/363282

Some gastronomy products (mc's, pate, beer :D)

And some cars that are sold under MedveÅ¡čak brand:

Citroen is one of the biggest club sponsors and they always do special series of the cars under the club's brand. All of the players drive their cars as well.

As I know clubs can not advertise cars, Chevrolet has exclusivity with KHL.

Yeah, there were discussions about this on our forums, it will be interesting to see what is going to happen with that sponsorship. Maybe they will just switch to Chevy? :) Chevrolet is popular (7th by the number of sold vehicles) brand here so it wouldn't surprise me.

I remember a kind of conflict with Donbass because one of its partners was MTS-Ukraine - a direct rival of Megafon. Don't anyone remember how did it end?

Wow, I have not heard about that. As I know clubs want from league to allow them this kind rival sponsorship, but it is difficult.... we will see what future brings. On the other hand it is good if there is interest in KHL clubs. ;) League must solve the problem. I heard that some german car producer wanted to sponsor SKA....

Only Russian big name companies that are present in Croatia are Sberbank and Lukoil. Do they have any interest for hockey sponsorships? Because i'm really intrigued by who will our new international sponsors be...

There was this one game that wasn't broadcast on tv, because Mytischi had a Toyota logo on the ice next to a Chevrolet one.

They're competing since 2010-11 at least. Loko and Atlant were among the first.

What does that entail?

would be nice to have league wide high quality reebok jerseys without ads and sewn on names/logos. Like in the NHL.

Ugh, what do manufacturers have to do with ads?

Both companies have their pros and cons. Luch has more experience with Russian jerseys, you simply can't re-adapt NHL cuts for the Russian designs overnight and ads are a part of it as well. It also takes time for Reebok to outsource their production.

I wasn't implying they were.

Of-course you can re-adapt them, all that is different is literally the logo. To provide <30 clubs with jerseys is not something a company would need to outsource for. They can easily be made where Reebok already manufactures, which im pretty sure would be closer to Russia than the USA. Sweden is using Reebok jerseys, at least the practice jerseys are identical to that of the NHL. The VHL and MHL should remain with Lutch for cost/practicality purposes.

First of all it's not just team jerseys (they provide them for free), it's about the license. Most of their stuff is already being produced in Russia btw.
Second, not everything that Reebok offers is exceptionally good, some clubs had to reject their designs because they didn't meet their expectations.

I'm not arguing that Luch is somehow more preferable, Reebok with its production values would be better for both clubs and fans, but the thing is that it's not so easy to adapt to a new market. And Luch has no intentions to give it up either.
