Whoa...does this mean tickets are very difficult to come by? I was planning a trip to Russia in early March (my wife is from there) and seeing a few games. I've seen KHL games before in Latvia, Finland, and the Czech Republic, but never actually in Russia, so this is a "bucket list" thing for me. Although plans are still being finalized, I was going to try to see the Dynamo game on March 7, the Torpedo game on March 8, and the Ak Bars game on March 10 (at those home arenas). Do tickets go on sale far in advance?

Yeah, you can buy tickets in advance. If I know, tickets go on sale cca a month before home series, but it depends on club. I doubt you can buy them with VISA .... but I am not sure.

I follow the attendance on daily basis, so my opinion ... Dynamo will be OK to buy a ticket days before the game, but Loko fans will definitelly come to Moscow. Depends how many of them will come. Torpedo will be sold-out, you will be very lucky to buy a ticket, even today (if on sale). Do not give up! People complain on ticket resellers (black market). Would be cool if Torpedo moved to a new arena, but it should happen next season (for example Avto Ekaterinburg should play at new arena already in March). When you are in Nizni Novgorod, go to Strelka territory, the new Torpedo arena is almost completed, it is located next to soccer stadium (FIFA World Cup 2018). I posted some pictures in other thread, I believe. You should get tickets in Kazan. I would recommend you to buy tickets online before you travele to Russia.

Dynamo Loko, you can buy here even today

Torpedo games in March are not available yet

You need to be registered at Ak Bars website to buy a ticket, it seems. I do not know if there is other service offering their tickets, perhaps Яндекс Афиша?

Thanks for the info. That's very helpful. I was able to get Dynamo tickets (through my wife's relatives in Russia). Honestly, I wasn't sure what tickets to buy for a good seat, since there seems to be that gap between the front row and the glass you see a lot in Europe that we generally don't have here in the US. So, I advised my wife to tell them to get the third row up, which they did. And in the last few hours I did check on the Torpedo tickets, which aren't on sale yet as you mentioned. I wonder when exactly they drop, because I suspect they will be difficult to get if I don't act quickly. But they do scalp tickets in Russia? Considering the tickets are very inexpensive (compared to the US/Canada), I wonder how much they would be if bought on the street? Ak Bars registration actually wanted to call me with a code to register. But apparently they won't call America, because I never got it. And really, I speak very little Russian, so I'd have to have my wife answer. But I suspect their tickets might not be easy, either.

Of course, now I have to deal with the visa side of things. Should make the hockey tickets a walk in the park in comparison.
