Every observer of this team, unanimously has the same conclusion as the only path forward. It is so obvious

They are 0-3 since terry' big meeting(s). He can't be pleased, right? Adams' own words at that terrible press conference are coming back to haunt them every day.

He has got to be facilitating a major change, right?

Remember this was a team that was in the playoff picture a little more than three weeks ago. The not so bright Pegula was probably looking at his GM -- who really is a cost cutter and a propaganda machine -- as finally executing on his multi-year process of building a playoff bound roster. I'm sure at that point Pegula was satisfied with his hire and the progress in the standings.

And then here comes an epic 13 game losing streak that completely wipes out any notion he, Adams, or any of us had about this being a playoff bound team. The collapse was swift and absolute. Pegula is dumb but he ain't stupid. Adams' firing is immanent but it takes a little time to solidify his replacement.
You think it’s a formality and Pegula is just looking at who to name once he’s fired? Wouldn’t he just fire a guy and make an interim?

Paul Hamilton in the Sabres pregame today...Terry Pegula would rather have gm that does what he wants to do rather than run a competent hockey team.

Love him or hate him Paul's Diatribe on the state of the Sabres today was poetic. (From adding Eichel/Reinhart/Dahlin/Power to the bottom of the league cycle again now). I hope Pegula and KA listens and they end the delusion!

I heard it, and it was kind of jarring to hear Hamilton speak that way. He normally is fairly tame in any criticism, but he was after them today

He usually plays the hits of "you can't keep firing everybody and making their changes" and "do you want to start all over with another rebuild?"

Kevin Adams got the GM job because he ran Harbour Center/Jr Sabres and cleaned out and fired the hockey department/staff Jason Botterill would not for the owners.

Terry Pegula has been so jaded by the hirings of LaFontaine/Murray, NHL/Botts he had to have a unqualified yes man in charge who has built a low IQ/Low talent core hockey team incapable of learning, comprehension, improving, or handling any sign of pressure.

Adams traded Eichel(finally under pressure from the league and Eichel threatening to go to the media)/Reinhart to Cup winners for spare parts, then his next best center for a dman that does not fit what they needed.

RESULT: LAST PLACE IN THE LEAGUE AT CHRISTMAS 2024

Anyone dreaming of a qualified replacement should know better. No self respecting, accomplished hockey person is taking a job where the top priorities are don’t spend and do what the owner says or else. Then add in the pressure of a now 14 year playoff drought in a market players don’t value. It’s dead, guys. Pegula killed it. It’s over.

It would be nice if all the reporters challenged him to a duel.
AI wasn't very good at this

Will fix everything
The funniest thing to have happened this week is we learned the easiest way to make Kevyn come out of his hidey hole is to say "Terry did this" in the media. Before the next home game, Kevyn will appear and say "Well ACTUALLY Terry did...."

I can’t believe he hasn’t even done the “trade for a scrappy tweener to add to the 4th line” move

There’s a chance they go 0 for a month and nobody gets fired, traded, waived, or claimed

Any move made in any area, other than blowing it up, costs Pegula money.

In case anyone needs a reason nothing changes. Pay a new GM? Pay new assistant coaches? Add to player payroll?

Wonder why none of those things have happened. It’s a stumper.

Day 5052: “Day 1650 is going off without a hitch. No changes to management team as this is Christmas time and as a great business leader, firing Kevyn would be the wrong thing to do. We Will continue searching for a solution. It grows tiresome hearing fans blaming me for the state of the organization, they just don’t appreciate that I saved this franchise.”

5 years and his best adds to the team was picking Power and Peterka.
In 3rd place we have McLeod. Holy shit he's bad.
The other decent players are downgrades for what he traded away in the same deals.

Every member of the Sabres team is a professional and each of them has value as a player. They win and they lose based on their talent, their work ethic-and a good cohesive on ice strategy. Teams can do better with a better strategy with some fluidity to match up against a particular opponent. The latter will mean a few points in a season. 13 losses in a row is strictly on the players though- excuses be damned. Leadership on the ice is needed-best leadership in the world will not help the team we have now-it has to do it itself. The old chestnut of being thrown an anchor when we need a life jacket would describe our potential trade possibilities. So I say to each player-suck it up-win each battle for the puck, see where the danger lies in your zone and make sure you take care of it by being where YOU should be and make teams hate playing against you..

You are ignoring the problem.

These aren’t those types of players. They’ve been groomed around nothing. They don’t know how. They lack all kinds of player types to succeed. The flaw is in having so many of the same thing…and no one they can turn to. It’s over. This group is shot. No work is going to change that they can’t pass, can’t defend, can’t play physical. It’s not the team Adams built.

They can take shots from low percentage places and try to get in the way when they turn it over because they aren’t even good at doing that.

It need to be destroyed.
