Seems like the media has been saying this for the past year. He values his own prospects too highly so a trade never happens
That ain't exactly true... Adams has been preaching "we're not going to rush things"

During the 2nd intermission of hockey night in Canada, Friedman said the Sabres are looking for immediate help.

It seemed like he was meaning not rentals.

12 points out of a playoff spot with 30 games remaining and 5 teams between us and the final playoff spot -- the only one who needs help is our GM who is clearly f***ing delusional if he thinks he's a buyer at the deadline.

Sorry Kevyn, everybody else got their permission slips signed when they were supposed to. Don’t think you can hand your forged signed slip in now when everybody else is already in the bus. Time to go sit with the librarian that smells like moth balls.

Just hearing the words “looking for help now” is comical. Why not when you brought in Power and he needed a quality veteran partner? Why not when Quinn went down before the season and you knew your scoring would take an additional hit on top of regression…and leaving you extra thin for any additional injury? Why not when the PP never got better? Why not when the coach ran out of answers? Why not when you finished one game out of the playoffs and thought…2 third pair D…that’s all I need?

no.

Now.

I didn't take it as he meant a rental ...

I agree. But the types of trades Adams needs to make to make this team better now and for the long term are typically not to be had at this stage of the season as teams bid up assets for the playoff push.

The Hronek trade shows it can be done. If you have balls and an actual plan and give a shit about addressing needs. Vancouver isn’t regretting that move even if it came “too early”.

You have to get players when they are available. Which isn’t often. Especially when you sit out all the other times.

And Adams needs so many damn things he can’t get them done in one off-season either. Probably should have thought of that the last two.

Well we all know trades don't just happen overnight... could be starting things that will materialize over the summer.

Whats the ending of fool me three times? Who is the shame on in that case? Because Adams is in every conversation according to him. And We’ve got two straight offseasons of precisely dick.

Yeah I guess even the Greenway trade is an example of getting shit done when the getting is good.

Okay Kevyn dazzle us with your deal making abilities, please.

You don't have to convince me.

Do you really have faith in KA and his one pro scout to do anything more than further damage? I envy your confidence in him.

I wonder if Kevyn Adams would be as smug now as he was that day a few winters ago, when he was working as an errand boy and a small group of fans protested outside the arena.
The sniveling Quizzing twerps online who worked to sabatog that whole thing can burn in the deepest depths of hell. Wonder if they are still kissing Terry's ass these days?

What floundering usdp rejects does granato have some history with? Those would be the targeta

Just realizing that this is because there is virtually no pro-scouting. The pro scouting department IS “hey Donnie, you know this guy?”

Hold on, gotta look up Quisling.

Let’s see, not counting former Sabres like
Will Butcher, Hudson Fasching, Sean Malone, Casey Fitzgerald. Here are some reclamation projects he coached in the US NTDP: Tyler Motte, Jack Roslovic, Christian Fischer, Kevin Labanc, Max Jones, Kiefer Bellows and Grant Mismash

it’s embarrassing to watch Adams try to make things happen through the media.

“They’re looking for help now.”

Cool, there are several coaches available *right now* with proven success at the NHL level.

Ohhh he meant players. At this point, even if the Sabres somehow landed McDavid, Drai, and Makar they’d still manage to f*** it up.

In the words of Sansa Stark:

"I'm a slow learner. It's true. But I learn."

Better late than never, I suppose.

Adams can absolutely be blamed for not firing the coach early in the year. This is a results based league. When the entire core goes backwards, it’s not a magical coincidence. The job of the coach is to extract performances from his top guys.

Granato should have gone months ago. To have him back next year would be a crime against humanity.

Enough rookie NHL coaches.
I didn’t say otherwise. Read better.

Oh oh oh get the last guy then in the future we can say the Sabres have slapped together a Mismash lineup
