Yah, we remember when he made Adams lay people off and fire people during a PANDEMIC! The other NHL teams all managed to survive (minus AZ which had other issues).
Yes he did and that was a dick thing to do.
If saving 8Million on the cap is to pay off debt from COVID we have serious franchise ethical issues.

Your here subtly defending the ownership constantly I notice,
if you work down there or know them, please tell him to end this INSANITY by the new year and stop being delusional and in denial like his GM.

14 F'in YEARS!
They are losing money every year. Even if they wanted to pay off previous debt, they have no money to do so. So no, they’re not paying off debt by being under the cap.

Me pointing out the economic reality of the team is not defending the owner. He’s a bad owner because he can’t hire a good hockey mind to run it and it’s led to years of sucking. Plus he neglects the arena. It don’t need to go down the various rabbit holes or believe any of the various “theories” posters love on here to think he sucks as an owner.

The poster I quoted was suggesting Pegula hates losing money. He’s been losing money for years, so clearly thats not the case. And “losing money” is relative in this case with the team owned by a LLC that has other sources of revenue.

The poster I quoted was suggesting to hit Pegula in the pocketbook to force him to make a change. He’s already been losing money for years, so that tactic isn’t likely gonna do anything.
Isn't the value of the franchise going up and he's not making money from the NFL and his business?

So maybe he should just hire the right people to run the franchise and not interfere so he can stop losing money. It would be nice if someone could get this idea into his head. We need Cobb (Leo DiCaprio) to put this idea into his head.

That is a very concise and polite reply Josh and if I take out my frustrations on you I apologize. Happy Holidays.

Not going all out to get into the playoffs in 22-23 when the opportunity was right there was a catastrophic mistake.

I remember being pissed off that Riley Stillman was our only add and saying it was a huge mistake not pushing for the playoffs that year because you never know what the future will bring. There was so much pushback from posters here about how it would be such a waste to shoot for the playoffs and get swept in the 1st round by the Bruins.

Will fix everything

The reality is, the Sabres will never be a profitable team. At least not consistently. To be break even, they need likely 1-2 rounds of playoff revenue.

But...the reality is right now, they are bleeding cash. At 1/2 filled arenas, this is basically become a money pit.

While it looks hopeless, fans would come RUNNING back for a winning team.
